Summary

• Resolve the exact profile version recorded against a file during processing, retries, replay, and recovery.
• Return actionable diagnostics when a recorded version cannot be loaded.
• Add regression coverage proving active profile changes after upload do not affect processing.
• Preserve legacy empty-version fallback and existing idempotency and dispatch behavior.

Verification

• dotnet build FileProcessor.sln --no-restore: passed with 0 errors.
• Business logic tests: 126 passed.
• Full solution tests: 186 passed; 15 Docker-backed integration tests could not start because Docker is unavailable (docker_engine).
• git diff --check: passed.

Follow-up

• Database projection/schema migration remains covered by Migrate existing profiles and files to profile-versioning #846.
