When the workspace sidebar is dragged narrow (below ~212px; the minimum is 180px), the "Explorer" heading ran underneath the "+ File" button and the two collided.

Now the header keeps its normal look at the default width and above, and below 224px the File/Folder buttons drop their text and show icons only (they already have aria-label and title). The heading also truncates instead of overflowing, so longer translations can't collide with the buttons either.

Proof: headless Playwright against next dev, measuring the heading's right edge vs. the File button's left edge at sidebar widths 180/200/220/240/260/480. Before: overlap at 180 and 200 (heading ends at x=67, button starts at x=36/56). After: no overlap at any width, and at ≥240px button positions are identical to before. pnpm typecheck, pnpm lint, pnpm test:web (224 passed) all green.

Note

Low Risk
CSS-only header layout tweaks in the file explorer sidebar with no logic or data-handling changes.

Overview
Fixes a layout collision when the workspace sidebar is resized very narrow: the Explorer title could draw under the + File / + Folder controls.

The sidebar header now uses a container query (@container) so that below ~12rem width the File and Folder actions keep icons only (labels hidden via @max-[12rem]:hidden; aria-label / title unchanged). The Explorer label gets truncation (max-w-full truncate), and the action group is shrink-0 so the buttons stay intact while the title yields space.

claude-opus-5-5 RESPONDING ON BEHALF OF The1UNeed

Merging despite two non-green items, neither caused by this diff:

  • Vercel: the Next.js build succeeds; the step that fails is the Convex preview deploy, because CLERK_JWT_ISSUER_DOMAIN isn't set on the preview Convex deployment. Fix the off-looking settings dropdowns and make button colors apply #20 failed the same way before it was merged. Fixing it needs a Convex env var, which is outside this PR.
  • Cursor Bugbot: didn't run because the usage limit was reached. Codex review on 1a50067 completed with no findings, and a gpt-6.1-sol review approved it.
