Missing conda.yaml

Issue

Hi,

I'm using ros-jazzy and ran into problems with rosdep init/update.

The default sources list (in my case /opt/conda/etc/ros/rosdep/sources.list.d/20-default.list) somehow uses conda.yaml from the noetic repo. And when running rosdep update, I get:

ERROR: unable to process source [https://raw.githubusercontent.com/RoboStack/ros-noetic/master/conda.yaml]:
        HTTP Error 404: Not Found (https://raw.githubusercontent.com/RoboStack/ros-noetic/master/conda.yaml)

If I switch to robostack.yaml, rosdep update gives:

{my_package_name}: No definition of [python3-pytest] for OS [conda]

Might be a regression as it seems conda.yaml was recently removed from the full rebuild 0a1df5a. Also from RoboStack/rosdistro@7ceefbd, it seems conda.yaml should be used instead of robostack.yaml, but it's from a while ago.

I'm currently using below as a workaround and it works without errors:

We deleted it in #557 - we either need to reinstate it, or change https://raw.githubusercontent.com/RoboStack/rosdistro/master/rosdep/sources.list.d/20-default.list to point to robostack.yaml instead, and change the key from conda to robostack in https://github.com/conda-forge/rosdep-feedstock/blob/main/recipe/810.patch.

I think we should just readd the file for now, otherwise all locked versions will be broken.

I'm currently porting a ROS2 Humble setup based on Docker to a ROS 2 Kilted setup based on pixi/robostack. The use of rosdep is quite common in ROS workflows, and users are generally familiar with using it to identify missing dependencies in their package.xml files.

During this transition period, I configured rosdep to also work within the pixi environment, even though the resolved packages are not meaningful in this context.

As a potential long-term solution, I considered adding a pre-commit check that parses all package.xml files in the workspace, attempts to map their dependencies to conda-forge (using the robostack and conda-forge package maps), and reports a clear message if a dependency might be missing. This is still just an idea for now, the setup is experimental and I'm still gathering initial feedback.

It may well turn out that this is overkill, and that clear documentation encouraging users to run something like pixi search "*<name>*" would be sufficient.
