Upgrades JavaFX from 23.0.2 to 25.0.5 to pick up the October 2026 security fixes.

Changes

  • pom.xml: javafx.version 23.0.2 → 25.0.5 (drives javafx-controls/graphics for all platform profiles)
  • THIRD-PARTY-LICENSES.txt (root and bundled resource copy): version line updated

No code changes needed. JavaFX 24+ requires JDK 23+; ArborJ builds and bundles JDK 25 (25.0.5.0.3). --enable-native-access=ALL-UNNAMED is already passed by javafx-maven-plugin, every jpackage profile, create-linux-tar.sh, and the Launcher.

Verification

  • mvn clean test on JDK 25.0.5: 136 tests, 0 failures
  • mvn clean package -Ppackage-mac (unsigned): app bundles JavaFX 25.0.5 jars + mac-aarch64 natives, launched cleanly ("=== ArborJ started ===", no exceptions)
  • create-linux-tar.sh: tarball contains 25.0.5 natives for linux x86_64 and aarch64
  • 25.0.5 artifacts confirmed on Maven Central for mac, mac-aarch64, linux, linux-aarch64, win
  • Adversarial review: clean, low risk (info notes only)

Not verified: Windows build/installer, Linux launch, Intel Mac, signing/notarization of a new build.

Optional follow-ups: add --enable-native-access=ALL-UNNAMED to surefire argLine to silence a test-only System::load warning; JavaFX logs a benign "unnamed module" configuration warning because it runs from the classpath (pre-existing).

Bump javafx.version in pom.xml and the JavaFX version in both
THIRD-PARTY-LICENSES.txt copies. 136 tests pass on JDK 25.0.5; Mac app
image and Linux tar bundle 25.0.5 jars/natives.
