Summary

  • The prebuilt wasm asset embedded absolute paths under the build machine's home directory (in panic-location strings from the Rust toolchain, the cargo registry and the crate sources).
  • Rewrites that prefix in place with a same-length neutral prefix (/build/local/), so no data offsets or sizes change.

Test plan

  • WebAssembly.validate() returns true for the patched module.
  • A byte scan for the old home-directory prefix returns nothing.
  • Future rebuilds should pass --remap-path-prefix (for example RUSTFLAGS="--remap-path-prefix=$HOME=~") so the paths are not embedded again.

The prebuilt wasm module embedded absolute paths under the build
machine's home directory in its panic-location strings. Rewrite them
in place with a same-length neutral prefix (/build/local/), so no
offsets change. The module still validates.
