0.51.0 (July 8, 2026)

Added

  • Restart workers one at a time on SIGHUP, bringing each replacement up before retiring the old worker, so reloads no longer drop requests (#3025)

Removed

  • Remove colorama from the standard extra (#3027)

0.50.2 (July 6, 2026)

Fixed

  • Require websockets>=13.0, which the default websockets-sansio implementation needs (#3021)

0.50.1 (July 6, 2026)

Fixed

  • Split comma-separated Sec-WebSocket-Protocol values in the websockets-sansio implementation (#3019)

0.50.0 (July 4, 2026)

If you use WebSockets, note that --ws auto now picks the websockets-sansio implementation. You shouldn't need it, but you can pin --ws websockets to get the deprecated legacy one back.

Changed

  • Exit with the dedicated code 3 on any startup failure: app loading, socket bind and lifespan startup errors previously exited with a mix of 0, 1 and 3 (#3001)
  • Stop the multiprocess supervisor when a worker exits with code 3 instead of restarting it forever (#3001)
  • Default --ws auto to websockets-sansio when websockets is installed (#2985)
  • Skip the eager app import in the parent process with --reload or --workers, fixing a memory regression introduced in 0.47.0 (#3012)
  • Build a fresh asgi scope dict per request (#2977)
  • Cache the asgi scope sub-dict per connection (#2976)
  • Avoid copying single-frame WebSocket payloads in websockets-sansio (#2983)
  • Memoize trusted host checks in ProxyHeadersMiddleware (#2970)
  • Replace click.style with an internal ANSI style helper (#2981)

Deprecated

  • Deprecate the legacy websockets implementation; use websockets-sansio or wsproto instead (#2985)

0.49.0 (June 3, 2026)

Changed

  • Bump httptools minimum version to 0.8.0 (#2962)
  • Consume duplicate forwarding headers in ProxyHeadersMiddleware (reverses the 0.48.0 behavior of ignoring them) (#2971)

0.48.0 (May 24, 2026)

Updates sqlalchemy from 2.0.44 to 2.0.51

Release notes

Sourced from sqlalchemy's releases.

2.0.51

Released: June 15, 2026

orm

  • [orm] [bug] Fixed issue where _orm.subqueryload() combined with PropComparator.of_type() and PropComparator.and_() would silently drop the additional filter criteria, causing all related objects to be loaded instead of only those matching the filter. The LoaderCriteriaOption was being constructed against the base entity rather than the effective entity indicated by PropComparator.of_type(). Pull request courtesy Arya Rizky.

    References: #13207

  • [orm] [bug] Fixed bug where a failure during tpc_prepare() within _orm.Session.commit() for a two-phase session would raise IllegalStateChangeError instead of the original database exception. The internal _prepare_impl() method's error handler was unable to invoke _orm.SessionTransaction.rollback() due to a state-change guard, preventing proper cleanup and masking the underlying error.

    References: #13356

engine

  • [engine] [bug] Fixed issue where Result.freeze() would lose track of ambiguous column names present in the original CursorResult, causing key-based access on the thawed result to silently return a value instead of raising InvalidRequestError. The SimpleResultMetaData now accepts and propagates ambiguous key information so that frozen, thawed, and pickled results raise consistently for duplicate column names. Pull request courtesy Saurabh Kohli.

    References: #9427

sql

  • [sql] [bug] Fixed issue where _sql.StatementLambdaElement would proxy attribute access through the cached "expected" expression rather than the resolved expression, causing stale closure-bound parameter values to be used when a lambda statement was extended with non-lambda criteria such as an additional .where() clause. Courtesy cjc0013.

Updates aiosqlite from 0.21.0 to 0.22.1

Changelog

Sourced from aiosqlite's changelog.

v0.22.1

Bug fix release

NOTE: Starting with v0.22.0, the aiosqlite.Connection object no longer inherits from threading.Thread. If not using aiosqlite as a context manager, clients must await connection.close() or call connection.stop() to ensure the helper thread is completed and terminated correctly. A ResourceWarning will be emitted for any connection that is garbage collected without being closed or stopped.

  • Added synchronous stop() method to aiosqlite.Connection to enable safe cleanup and termination of the background thread without dependence on having an active event loop (#370)

v0.22.0

Feature release

  • Support set_authorizer query access controls (#349)
  • Wait for transaction queue to complete when closing connection (#305)
  • Emit warning when connection goes out of scope without being closed (#355)
  • Remove dependency on typing_extensions (#365)

Updates greenlet from 3.2.4 to 3.5.4

Changelog

Sourced from greenlet's changelog.

3.5.4 (2026-07-22)

  • Fix a crash (segfault) on free-threaded builds of Python 3.14 and later when the garbage collector runs while a greenlet that was started from a non-empty C-stack-reference state is active. See issue 515 <https://github.com/python-greenlet/greenlet/issues/515>_. Thanks to ddorian and Kumar Aditya.

  • Fix a potential use-after-free on free-threaded builds of Python 3.14 and later when the garbage collector runs while a greenlet is suspended holding a _PyCStackRef (for example, mid attribute resolution). See issue 515 <https://github.com/python-greenlet/greenlet/issues/515>_. Thanks to ddorian and Kumar Aditya.

  • Fix a deadlock on free-threaded builds when a greenlet switch happened while a PyCriticalSection was held -- for example inside asyncio's Task.__step, which holds one on the running task for the duration of the step. See PR 519 <https://github.com/python-greenlet/greenlet/pull/519/>. Thanks to ddorian and Kumar Aditya.

.. note:: Binary 3.15 wheels are now built with Python 3.15b4. These may not be compatible with earlier or later versions of 3.15. Binary 3.15 wheels of greenlet from previous releases (e.g., 3.5.3) may not be compatible with Python 3.15b4.

3.5.3 (2026-06-26)

  • Fix a crash on free-threaded builds when multiple greenlets were holding a critical section on an object and the GIL for the thread was dropped. See issue 513 <https://github.com/python-greenlet/greenlet/issues/513>_. Thanks to ddorian.

3.5.2 (2026-06-17)

  • The minimum supported version of Python 3.15 is now 3.15b2.
  • Fix some garbage-collection related crashes on free-threaded Python 3.15. Thanks to Kumar Aditya in PR [#511](https://github.com/python-greenlet/greenlet/issues/511) <https://github.com/python-greenlet/greenlet/pull/511>_.
  • Improve garbage collection of greenlets. This mostly applies to Python 3.15. Thanks to Kumar Aditya in PR [#512](https://github.com/python-greenlet/greenlet/issues/512) <https://github.com/python-greenlet/greenlet/pull/512>_.

Updates prometheus-fastapi-instrumentator from 8.0.2 to 8.1.0

Release notes

Sourced from prometheus-fastapi-instrumentator's releases.

8.1.0 / 2026-07-26

Added

  • Added new optional parameter should_include_root_path to the Instrumentator constructor. When set to True, the default exported Prometheus metrics will include the FastAPI app's effective root_path in the handler label. Defaults to False to maintain backwards compatibility. Requested in #390 and implemented in #391.

Fixed

  • Fixed resolving route names with root path set in FastAPI app. Raised in #387 and implemented in #391.
  • Fixed incorrect handling of nested apps / routes in some corner cases introduced with 8.0.1. Raised in #389 and implemented in #391.

Updates pytest-cov from 7.0.0 to 7.1.0

Changelog

Sourced from pytest-cov's changelog.

7.1.0 (2026-03-21)

  • Fixed total coverage computation to always be consistent, regardless of reporting settings. Previously some reports could produce different total counts, and consequently can make --cov-fail-under behave different depending on reporting options. See [#641](https://github.com/pytest-dev/pytest-cov/issues/641) <https://github.com/pytest-dev/pytest-cov/issues/641>_.

  • Improve handling of ResourceWarning from sqlite3.

    The plugin adds warning filter for sqlite3 ResourceWarning unclosed database (since 6.2.0). It checks if there is already existing plugin for this message by comparing filter regular expression. When filter is specified on command line the message is escaped and does not match an expected message. A check for an escaped regular expression is added to handle this case.

    With this fix one can suppress ResourceWarning from sqlite3 from command line::

    pytest -W "ignore:unclosed database in <sqlite3.Connection object at:ResourceWarning" ...

  • Various improvements to documentation. Contributed by Art Pelling in [#718](https://github.com/pytest-dev/pytest-cov/issues/718) <https://github.com/pytest-dev/pytest-cov/pull/718>_ and "vivodi" in [#738](https://github.com/pytest-dev/pytest-cov/issues/738) <https://github.com/pytest-dev/pytest-cov/pull/738>. Also closed [#736](https://github.com/pytest-dev/pytest-cov/issues/736) <https://github.com/pytest-dev/pytest-cov/issues/736>.

  • Fixed some assertions in tests. Contributed by in Markéta Machová in [#722](https://github.com/pytest-dev/pytest-cov/issues/722) <https://github.com/pytest-dev/pytest-cov/pull/722>_.

  • Removed unnecessary coverage configuration copying (meant as a backup because reporting commands had configuration side-effects before coverage 5.0).

Updates playwright from 1.55.0 to 1.61.0

Release notes

Sourced from playwright's releases.

v1.61.0

🔑 WebAuthn passkeys

New Credentials virtual authenticator, available via browserContext.credentials, lets tests register passkeys and answer navigator.credentials.create() / navigator.credentials.get() ceremonies in the page — no real hardware key required, works in all browsers:

context = browser.new_context()
Seed a passkey your backend provisioned for a test user.
context.credentials.create("example.com",
id=credential_id,
user_handle=user_handle,
private_key=private_key,
public_key=public_key,
)
context.credentials.install()
page = context.new_page()
page.goto("https://example.com/login")
The page's navigator.credentials.get() is answered with the seeded passkey.

You can also let the app register a passkey once in a setup test, read it back with credentials.get(), and seed it into later tests — see Credentials for details.

🗃️ Web Storage

New WebStorage API, available via page.localStorage and page.sessionStorage, reads and writes the page's storage for the current origin:

page.local_storage.set_item("token", "abc")
token = page.local_storage.get_item("token")
items = page.session_storage.items()
