+`simple-dark-gray.svg` and `simple-blue.svg` are vector recreations of the 1920x1080 PNGs from 2016 in the archived [nixos-artwork](https://github.com/NixOS/nixos-artwork) repository, so that they can be rendered at any resolution.
+The background gradients are fitted to the original PNGs, and the snowflake is the `nixos-logomark-white-flat-none` artifact from this repository.

+## License and attribution

+The original wallpaper designs are by [Eric Sagnes](https://github.com/ericsagnes), who released them into the public domain ([NixOS/nixos-artwork#23](https://github.com/NixOS/nixos-artwork/issues/23#issuecomment-367925335)).
+The logomark is licensed under CC BY 4.0, with attribution in each SVG file, so the wallpapers are licensed under [CC BY 4.0](../LICENSES/CC-BY-4.0.txt) as well.
