About This Repo

Our community runs different types of sessions. Each type has clear expectations and boundaries, designed to keep everything free, transparent, and educational.

We currently maintain two playbooks:

  • One for community tools (demos and product sessions)
  • One for presentations (slides, storytelling, knowledge sharing)

Playbooks

Tool-Based Sessions

For speakers showing a product or tool.

  • Only the free tier can be presented
  • No upsells, trials, or sales pitches
  • Open source preferred, free access required
  • Transparency about roadmap is a must

📄 Read the Tool Playbook

Presentation Sessions

For sessions built around slides, concepts, or technical deep dives.

  • Vendor neutral
  • Focus on education and real-world experience
  • Sharing is encouraged, selling is not

📄 Read the Presentation Playbook

Why These Rules Matter

  • Protect the community from hidden sales tactics
  • Keep sessions focused on learning, not marketing
  • Build trust through transparency and fairness
  • Ensure consistent quality across all events

Contributing

We want to keep improving these guidelines. If you have feedback, open a pull request or create an issue.

  • Be respectful
  • Keep it community-focused
  • Explain your reasoning clearly

🛡 This isn’t gatekeeping - it’s how we protect our community’s trust in us as Moderators.
