hpe-ams

Docker image for running HPE AMS on TrueNAS Scale.

Based on an Ubuntu 16.04 (Xenial LTS) container. The Dockerfile installs AMS and other HPE services through APT from https://downloads.linux.hpe.com/SDR.

The GitHub Action automatically builds a new container and pushes it to GHCR.

To use container, run the following command:

  • Name: cpqScsi MIB handler for Smart Aray 824i-p MR Gen10 Controller

  • Env: /etc/sysconfig/mr_cpqScsi (non-existing)
  • Requires: amsd.service
  • ConditionPathExists: /sys/module/megaraid_sas
  • Note: We do not have /sys/module/megaraid_sas

• smad.service:

  • Name: System Management Assistant daemon
  • Exec: /sbin/smad $OPTIONS
  • Env: /etc/sysconfig/smad (non-existing)

• smad_rev.service

  • Name: System Management Assistant Reverse Proxy Service
  • Exec: /sbin/smad_rev $OPTIONS

This repository's own files (Dockerfile, README, GitHub Actions workflow) are licensed under the MIT License.

The built container image additionally bundles third-party software not covered by that license:

• HPE's hp-ams, hp-health, hpsmh, ssa/ssacli/ssaducli, etc. are proprietary packages pulled at build time from HPE's own non-free repository (https://downloads.linux.hpe.com/SDR) and remain subject to HPE's own license/EULA terms.
• The systemctl/journalctl PID-1 replacement is copied in from gdraheim/docker-systemctl-replacement, which is licensed under EUPL-1.2, not MIT.
