ABM-WTR

An agent-based model for the study of working-time reduction (WTR) policies. It extends the Schumpeter meeting Keynes (K+S) model with a labour market and a financial sector, and expresses labour input in working hours.

Authors: Gabriel Petrini, Gilberto Tadeu Lima, Pedro Romero Marques, Samuel de Souza D'Allevedo. Made (Research Centre on Macroeconomics of Inequalities), University of São Paulo.

Status

Work in progress. This repository is a periodic snapshot of a private development repository; each commit message records the development commit it was taken from. References such as #114 in the code and documentation point to the private issue tracker. Access to the issues is available on request to the authors.

Build and run

Requirements: g++, and the Tcl/Tk 8.6 development libraries. LSD 9 is vendored in src/.

bash scripts/lsd9-gen-makefile.sh # generate the makefile from model.cfg
make -j $(nproc) # builds ./lsd_term
bash scripts/lsd_MC_runner.sh # Monte Carlo runs over the scenarios in R/data/Scen1.lsd

The active configuration is R/data/Scen1.lsd. The scenario flag flagScen is injected per scenario by scripts/lsd_MC_runner.sh (see docs/adr/0004-single-scenario-config-flagscen-injection.md).

Documentation

  • docs/Equations.org: model equations.
  • docs/Variables.org: variables and parameters.
  • docs/adr/: architectural decision records.

The code prevails over the documentation where they differ.
