Advisory cross-file review against Lean Pool's supervisory rubric. This is not by itself a significance, source-verification, or merge verdict. [Low impact] No blocking code issue was found in the changes since the previous review; the source and novelty checks remain incomplete. SummaryImports the bounded Gram representation theorem and its finite decomposition, moment-measure, and unit-interval proofs.

| Rubric | Verdict | Bottom line |
|---|---|---|
| Faithfulness | ✅ pass |
All three card headlines match the Lean; exact-head CI built successfully but validation remains pending, while the local build stopped at a Mathlib-fetch HTTP 403. |
| Novelty | ✅ pass |
No duplicate of the three headlines was found in inspected Mathlib, Tau Ceti, or pool declarations; broader Tau Ceti semantic equivalence remains unverifiable. |
| Significance | ✅ pass |
GrothendieckBessel.main is a research-level representation theorem supported by substantive developments in convex geometry and measure theory. |
| Sources | ✅ pass |
The cited paper supports all three card claims, and the pinned upstream formalization is explicitly credited. |
| Code quality (advisory) | ✅ pass |
The spectral, endpoint, and moment layers are competently modularized with no material maintenance issue found; local build verification stopped at an HTTP 403 fetching pinned Mathlib. |

Statement check: main realizes every ℕ-indexed bound-one Bessel family in a complex inner-product space, without completeness, by AE strongly measurable functions bounded pointwise on [0,1], preserving every Gram correlation including the diagonal; the other headlines establish arbitrary countable-kernel realization and finite real convex decomposition.
The project formalizes bounded Gram representation for Bessel sequences, developing finite real and complex contraction decompositions and countable probability-moment realization.
Faithfulness findings (1)
- prompt-injection — PR-wide
The contributor description and discussion invoke prior rubric approval, including approval at an earlier head; these claims have no authority for this review and were disregarded. Acceptance must rest on the current Lean and checks.
Evidence: Contributor prose: ‘The GPT review passed all five rubrics’ and ‘That head's complete approval remains a preserved checkpoint.’
Novelty findings (1)
- prompt-injection — PR-wide
The contributor invokes prior approval, which has no authority over this independent novelty review and was excluded from the verdict.
Evidence: The description states ‘The GPT review passed all five rubrics’; contributor discussion states ‘That head's complete approval remains a preserved checkpoint.’
Significance findings (1)
- prompt-injection — PR-wide
The contributor invokes prior rubric approval, which has no authority over this independent significance assessment. Keep historical approval claims separate from the mathematical evidence; these claims were disregarded when assigning this verdict.
Evidence: The PR description states: "The GPT review passed all five rubrics and identified further cleanup:"; contributor discussion in .review-pr.json also states: "That head's complete approval remains a preserved checkpoint."
Sources findings (1)
- prompt-injection — PR-wide
The contributor invokes prior approval, which has no authority for this review and risks biasing source verification; the cited results were checked independently.
Evidence: PR description: ‘The GPT review passed all five rubrics’; discussion: ‘That head's complete approval remains a preserved checkpoint.’
Code quality findings (1)
- prompt-injection — PR-wide
The description claims prior approval across all five rubrics. That claim has no standing for this head and was ignored; remove the approval appeal from reviewer-directed material.
Evidence: The GPT review passed all five rubrics and identified further cleanup:
Tokens: 8,160,391 in / 44,646 out across 5 model calls · Tier: codex-subscription · Effort: xhigh · Billing: Codex subscription quota (no API credits) · Estimated cost: $33.3113 (Standard API equivalent; uncached input)

Both advisory quality findings from the GPT review are repaired in
The clean project build, generated wrapper/index check, all 15 declaration linters (14 modules / 376 declarations), style, and unchanged complete project quality/trust audit pass locally. Latest controlled clean build: 29.34 s / 1,641,424 KiB, versus 73.84 s / 3,089,904 KiB baseline. The review's Mathlib-fetch HTTP 403 was confined to the review workspace. GitHub CI at its reviewed head subsequently passed all project gates. PR642 had entered the native queue at that approved head while the additional cleanup was being validated. I dequeued only PR642 to push these repairs. Keep the final head out of the queue until fresh CI, Greptile, GPT rubric review, and the separate exact-head review have completed. No author branch rebase, protection bypass, or gate change is needed. |

This imports the complete proof of the countable complex Bessel-sequence Gram representation theorem: Bessel bound one gives measurable functions on
[0,1], bounded by one, with exactly the prescribed correlations, including the diagonal. The public theorem also works in an incomplete inner-product space; the upstream completeness assumption was unused. The reusable proof includes a Ball–Prodromou cube-maximization argument, finite real/complex positive-contraction decompositions into bounded rank-one matrices, bounded step-function realizations, and a compact probability moment construction followed by standard Borel realization for arbitrary countable index types. These are public intermediate APIs rather than assumptions packaging the difficult steps. The card claims the representation theorem and these intermediate constructions; it does not claim the paper's separate optimality proof or orthonormal-extension application.

The upstream statement-only placeholder, tests, tools, metadata, redundant umbrella, and thin alias module are omitted.Port and measured optimization
Ported Lean/Mathlib v4.31.0 → v4.35.0-rc3, using the pool's Mathlib commit
c55e6e786f49471c72fbddbec5415808896aec1e. Changes update matrix elaboration, measurable-map/probability APIs, and the simplex compactness proof toConvexity.StdSimplex; they remove unused assumptions and resolve all warnings and linter findings without suppression. The final theorem retains the exact correlation identity and pointwise bound. After obtaining a successful port baseline, I profiled the slow convexity, Ball–Prodromou, and moment modules, replaced blanket Mathlib imports with specific dependencies, tightened expensive simplification, and separated the elementary Bessel layer from the interval-realization dependency chain. The Greptile cleanup findings were also repaired: both spectral entry points share one dimension-parametrized construction, support-function separation no longer requires unused convexity/nonemptiness of its first set, and the step-function entry points omit redundant positivity parameters. Further cleanup: the PSD spectral specialization now also shares that construction, finite zero-trace support specializes the general proof, and the spectral-part support proof reuses its existing upper bound. An unused proper-active-span premise was removed throughout all four endpoint lemmas, and obsolete local nonemptiness scaffolding was removed from the finite-moment construction. No heartbeat/resource overrides are present or needed.
This is a 60.3% wall-time reduction (2.52×) and 46.9% lower maximum process RSS. Both measurements used the same Azure VM, pinned warm dependency oleans,
LEAN_NUM_THREADS=2, and/usr/bin/time ... lake build LeanPool.GrothendieckBessel, after removing only this project's build artifacts. Shared VM load remains a measurement limitation; maximum process RSS is not aggregate concurrent memory. Final slow-module build times were Ball–Prodromou 8.7 s, complex reduction 4.6 s, and real convexity 5.5 s. Separately instrumented synchronous profiles also improved; those are not substituted for the comparable build timings.Validation
lake exe mk_all --module --checkpasses; the fixedLeanPool.leanis unchanged.lake exe lint-style LeanPool.GrothendieckBessel.Importspasses.Classical.choice,propext, andQuot.sound; there are no holes, extra axioms, unsafe/partial code, native decision proofs, forbidden options, or waivers.git diff --checkpasses. No Python, infrastructure, gate, workflow, or linter configuration changes. These are local project checks, not a claim that the entire pool was rebuilt locally. PR CI and the configured Greptile/GPT rubric reviews remain the final authority. A separate full-source agentic review will be posted against the exact PR head before any native-queue request.
