Summary

  • The candidates README stopped rendering on GitHub once the toolchain column pushed it from ~217KB to ~236KB and over GitHub's effective markdown rendering threshold; the page fell back to a wall of text with autolinks.
  • Add a render-time --min-stars filter (default 2, mirroring Reservoir's own inclusion floor) so the markdown stays small enough for GitHub to keep rendering it.
  • Critically, this is display-only: raw_data/manifest.json and raw_data/manual_packages.json still contain every package, and python -m lean_pool.aggregator render --min-stars=0 brings the full list back. Downstream classification work that wants every repo can read the raw data directly.
  • Re-render produces 1033 of 1594 packages, file is now ~169KB (back under the threshold).

The candidates README hit GitHub's markdown rendering threshold once
the toolchain column landed, and the page fell back to plain-text-with-
autolinks. Add a render-time --min-stars filter (default 2, matching
Reservoir's own inclusion floor) so the markdown stays small enough to
render. The underlying raw_data/ files still keep every package, and
--min-stars=0 brings them all back.
