Buddy surface follow-ups: layout echo, T3 shortcuts in the panel, live day pane, user-facing app names in the page block #109
Smaller follow-ups to Buddy's surface (#104, #105, #107, #108, plan DEV-6676). None of them blocks the first version.
Layout echo. The host never tells the frame which size it shows. The frame keeps the size it last asked for, so after the host changes size on its own, switching between panel and full screen may take two clicks. This needs a host → frame message in the shell protocol lazurio.buddy.*, which LazurioPlatform owns (decision F60), and the frame then has to take it.
T3's shortcuts inside Buddy's panel. The terminal and right-panel keyboard shortcuts still work in Buddy's surface, which has neither.
The day pane is live only once a minute. It refreshes on a one-minute timer instead of on new messages.
User-facing app names in the page block.buddyPrompt.ts names Apps and Settings „Launchpad“ in the block Hermes gets. Buddy may repeat that word to the person, although Lazurio's voice rules keep Launchpad an internal name. The chip already says „Apps“ / „Nastavení“, and the block could use the same names.
The page with every message. While the chip is shown, each message carries the page block, so Buddy's memory holds it once per turn. Consider sending it only when the page changed since the last message that carried it.
#113 takes item 2 (T3's shortcuts inside Buddy's panel): in Buddy's surface the terminal, right-panel, thread-panel, diff and project-script shortcuts are not registered, so their keys stay the browser's, and the reopen-closed-view shortcut is not mounted. This issue stays open for the other items.
Found while doing it, still open:
A terminal or right panel that a key opened in Buddy's surface before feat(lazurio): Buddy's chat reads like a chat with a friend #113 stays open there (T3 keeps that UI state in the browser) until it is closed with its own button. In the headless check, main's Mod+J and Mod+D left a bash terminal and the diff panel over the bubble, and they came back after reload on the feat(lazurio): Buddy's chat reads like a chat with a friend #113 build. Buddy's surface could stop rendering the terminal drawer and the right panel altogether.
T3's own English text still reaches the person in Buddy's surface: the provider status banner, the empty thread's "Send a message to start the conversation." and the screen-reader author heading "T3 Code" on Buddy's messages.
If Hermes offers an ACP option besides its session mode and the composer strip is too narrow for it, upstream's overflow menu (CompactComposerControlsMenu) would show that option together with T3's Access choices, which it renders unconditionally. Today Hermes offers only its mode, which feat(lazurio): Buddy's chat reads like a chat with a friend #113 leaves out, so the menu never shows.
From the review of the v0.1.2 candidate (#114, row 28): in Buddy's surface the thread error banner always says „Něco se nepovedlo. Zkuste to prosím znovu.“ and passes errorCode={null}, so T3's own text (for example the ChatGPT usage limit of v0.1.2) is never shown there. That's right for T3's developer wording. But for a usage limit „try again“ misleads, because retrying doesn't help until the limit resets. Follow-up: for the limit codes, say it in human words in Lazurio's voice (Buddy can't answer right now because the AI limit is used up, and when it resets if known), without T3's provider text.
