What makes these files?

windows program file.

What should Filee convert them to?

.exe

Anything else?

Why it's important the windows 10 not support this ".msix" format; it need .exe

Protection

  • These files aren't encrypted or copy-protected (DRM), and I can open them without a password.

    Thanks for the request! An .msix is an app package, not a document: it holds a program together with its install information. So there's no .exe inside it that Filee could convert to.

    Windows 10 can install .msix packages (version 1709 and later):

    1. Install App Installer from the Microsoft Store if it isn't there yet.
    2. Double-click the .msix file.

    If the package is signed with a certificate Windows doesn't trust, it will say so. In that case only the app's publisher can help.

    This is outside what Filee does, so I'm closing it.
