I design and build instruments that unite physics, sensing, control and software: ultrasonic imaging systems, machine vision instruments, robots and industrial machines. My work runs end to end, from wave physics and inversion algorithms through C/C++ firmware, FPGA design and custom PCBs, to validated, deployed hardware.
PhD in Electronic Engineering (2026, SPE3D Ultrasonic Lab, London South Bank University) on 3D ultrasound imaging of the crystal structure of ice cores. Creator of the Yertle quadruped robot and founder of BugBotLab.
Ultrasonic imaging and inversion · Machine vision instruments · Robotics and motion control · Embedded firmware (C, C++, FreeRTOS) · FPGA / RTL design and verification
Currently building: OpenUSCT, an open platform for ultrasound computed tomography spanning FPGA hardware, Python/C++/GPU software and simulation.
