Summary

The README's quick start fails at every step for a new user. This PR fixes the parts that live in the repo.

  • release.yml: the image job used ${{ }} expressions inside { } flow mappings. That's invalid YAML, so every run failed in 0 s and no Docker image or desktop installers were ever published. They're now block mappings. The installer job also gets contents: write so electron-builder can upload to the draft release.
  • models.yml (new, manual trigger): exports SigLIP to ONNX on a GitHub runner with scripts/export_siglip.py, checks parity against PyTorch, and uploads siglip-base-multilingual.tar.bz2 to the models-v1 release that metachlorian models fetch downloads (OPEN_QUESTIONS Q4).
  • Dockerfile: OCI labels so the ghcr.io image links to this repo.

After merging

  1. Rename the default branch to main so scripts/install.sh's raw URL resolves.
  2. Run Publish models from the Actions tab.
  3. Tag v0.1.0 to publish the image and draft installers.

Overview
Unblocks release and model publishing that were failing or missing from the repo.

release.yml fixes invalid YAML in the Docker image job (GitHub expressions inside flow-style with blocks), which prevented the workflow from running at all. The desktop build job now grants contents: write so electron-builder can upload installers to a draft release.

Adds a new manual workflow models.yml that exports SigLIP to ONNX via scripts/export_siglip.py, checks parity, packages siglip-base-multilingual.tar.bz2 (+ SHA256), and uploads to the models-v1 release used by metachlorian models fetch.

The Dockerfile gains standard OCI image labels linking ghcr.io images back to the repo.

release.yml: the image job's ${{ }} expressions sat inside { } flow
mappings, which is invalid YAML, so every run failed before starting and
no image or installers were ever published. Installer upload also needs
contents: write.

models.yml (run by hand): exports SigLIP to ONNX on a runner, checks
parity and uploads it to the models-v1 release that models fetch expects.

Dockerfile: OCI source label so the ghcr image links to this repo.

  • ✅ Fixed: Models release becomes Latest
    • Added --latest=false to gh release create so the models-v1 weights release is not marked as Latest.

gh release create defaults to marking a release as Latest. Pass
--latest=false so the weights-only models-v1 tag does not take over
/releases/latest ahead of the product version.
