I'm a dad, builder, and VP of Engineering at Arcadia, based in Hyattsville, Maryland. I lead engineering teams during the day and build with coding agents at night: open-source tooling for how agents work, organizing tech for campaigns, and a strategy game.
My path into tech started in political organizing: field work on the Obama campaign, then data engineering at the DNC. I joined CareJourney as employee #7 and led engineering through its acquisition by Arcadia. That experience still shapes what I want to build: healthcare that reaches people, organizing tools more campaigns can afford, and AI that earns our trust.
I've been building with LLMs since late 2022, and most of what I ship now is written by coding agents that I direct, review, and constrain. Agent Harness is that working method, open-sourced: one set of rules, guardrails, and switchable opinions that follows me across Claude Code and Codex. Every project below is built with it.
- Agent Harness — reusable rules, skills, and hooks for coding agents. My main open-source project. Browse the reference.
- Sovereign — a whole-Earth grand-strategy game about power and consequence, in development.
- Cortex and Consul — exploring how AI can remember what matters, follow your rules, and earn the right to act on your behalf; with a personal assistant built on that foundation.
- Groundwork — field-organizing tools for progressive campaigns, including canvassing and offline mobile workflows.
- Fable — a date-night companion that helps busy couples find things they'd both enjoy.
I also contribute to Parsons, the Python toolkit for civic and political data work.
Away from the keyboard: family, Ravens football, guitar and drums, and getting outside.
