task: measure whether InferRSI helps Claude Code and Codex optimize inference tasks #248

Open
0 of 1 issue completed

Description

@david6666666

Current state: The bounded CPU KV slice software is merged (seven PRs from #274 to #290), but both live A2/A3 attempts on 2026-10-31 ended INCONCLUSIVE, the second stopping on HTTP 403; no third attempt is allowed.
Decision needed: none
Next action: The existing slice implementer or an authorized account operator retrieves the 2026-10-31 rejection and billing records without sending test requests; the broader proposal has no assignee.

当前执行状态(有界切片)

Goal and acceptance

  • Problem / desired outcome: InferRSI has not measured its own value on the work it exists for. Skill Eval (#40, #100) and the Collect comparison (#128) graded one answer document per trial against a frozen verifier, under minute-scale client timeouts (#128 used 360 seconds). None of them measured a code change with the engine runner. The exploratory runs in #220 found that a no-library agent already reached the configuration ceiling of the #75 task, and that outcomes depended on whether the agent benchmarked a candidate at all. This issue proposes a pre-registered, harness-agnostic evaluation for this question: for a fixed coding agent (Claude Code or Codex) and model, does adding InferRSI change three things at equal budget? Those are the independently re-measured result of an inference-optimization task, the reliability of the agent's own claims, and the cost of getting there. "InferRSI" here means its knowledge, its workbench, or both.
  • Completion criteria:
    1. Model-free tooling and fixtures that freeze, run and grade all five arms (four configurations plus an A/A duplicate) with both harness adapters, merged through the normal lanes.
    2. One authorized pilot. Its frozen plan digest is posted here before any paid call, and every run is retained. The report states per-arm outcomes, claim reliability, cost, A/A variance and limitations. A null or negative efficacy result satisfies this criterion.

Scope and constraints

  • In scope:
    • Four arm configurations in the tooling: no InferRSI, knowledge only, workbench only, and both, plus an A/A duplicate of the first. The first pilot runs only the two end configurations and the A/A duplicate.
    • Claude Code and Codex adapters.
    • A CPU task tier and at least one single-accelerator task.
    • Independent held-out re-measurement through the existing AB/BA runner.
    • Claim-reliability and cost metrics, and a report.
  • Out of scope:
    • Ranking harnesses or models against each other.
    • New CI lanes and knowledge promotion.
    • Host plugin packaging (#152).
    • Engine performance claims. Candidate patches graded here are evaluation artifacts, not campaign PASS results.
  • Relevant dependencies, shared interfaces or limits:
    • Reuse run_experiment, evaluate, qualify_devices, repository_identity and the Skill Eval prepare → authorize → execute lifecycle with its receipts. Add no second runner.
    • Thresholds, budgets and task pins live in this issue and the frozen plan, not in code defaults.
    • Paid runs need runner-enforced isolation.

Ownership and authorization

  • Proposed by / actual requester: @david6666666. Drafted with Claude Code (claude-opus-5-5) at the requester's direction.
  • Status: Proposed
  • Accountable parent (Issue-level owner, if assigned): TBD
  • Slice implementer(s) / acting contributor (if assigned): TBD
  • Goal-acceptance owner: TBD
  • Accepted decision or scoped delegation: Not yet granted. Paid model calls, accelerator time and evidence publication each need separate authorization.

Inputs and deliverables

  • Relevant sources, revisions or linked issues:
  • Expected artifacts:
    • tools/task_efficacy.py with prepare, authorize, execute, grade and report.
    • A ClaudeCodeClient and a long-horizon mode for CodexClient.
    • A Tier-0 CPU task pack with scripted offline clients.
    • The report schema.
    • The pilot evidence bundle.

The full plan is in the English comment below. A Chinese translation follows it.

Completion and closure

  • Who accepts completion and may close: the goal-acceptance owner above.
  • Remaining uncertainty / next decision:
    • Which harness to run first.
    • The Tier-1 task.
    • The pilot budget and repetition count.
    • Whether to publish raw traces or only redacted ones.

    Full plan: does InferRSI help Claude Code or Codex optimize an inference task?

    Inspected on 2026-10-29 at main 509531c6. Line links point at that revision. This is a proposal: it authorizes no model calls, accelerator time or publication. A Chinese translation follows in the next comment.

    1. Why the existing evaluations cannot answer this

    Existing path What it measures Gap for optimization tasks
    Skill Eval run_trial One Codex answer document per trial, graded by a frozen verifier Every workspace file is hashed before and after the agent, and any change makes the trial inputs_changed / INCONCLUSIVE (L262-L267). The verifier gets 30 seconds (L241). An optimization deliverable is a code change, so this path rejects it by design.
    Configured and Collect comparisons (#100, #128) Two or three knowledge arms on one shared report-audit exam Both grade answer documents against a frozen verifier. Where the direct provider worker is used, it has read and submit tools only: "No shell, network tool, external agent CLI or global config" (skill_eval_compare.py#L359).
    Engine runner run_experiment and evaluate AB/BA comparison of a supplied baseline and candidate, with source snapshots before and after every command It grades a candidate, not the agent that wrote it. That makes it the right grader for this issue.
    #220 exploratory runs Library and compaction arms on the #75 task All arms stopped at the same ≈22% configuration ceiling. Study 1 ran most arms once and the no-library arm three times. In study 2, five of nine branches never ran a benchmark.

    The roadmap already names the missing step: "Task-efficacy pilot: compare a bounded task with and without the relevant knowledge; report correctness, completion and cost" (#61).

    2. Where a difference can come from

    Mechanism Arm that isolates it What would show it
    Better first hypotheses from source-grounded knowledge: casebooks, hardware notes, prior negative results A1 Fewer candidates and less time to the first verified gain on covered tasks
    Measurement discipline: AB/BA order, a frozen validator, source snapshots, verdicts that refuse to call noise a gain A2 More trials that benchmark a candidate at all, and fewer false claims
    Search policy: one variable per step, negative-result memory, stop rules (the candidate optimization-search-policy skill) A1 Fewer dead ends re-entered after the trace recorded them as failed
    Extra context and tool overhead A1, A3 More tokens and cost per trial, or lower success on uncovered tasks

    The last row is the expected harm. A gain and a cost can both be real, which is why outcome, claims and cost are separate endpoints.

    3. Arms and what stays fixed

    InferRSI offers two things that can help independently:

    • K, knowledge: a revision-pinned bundle of packaged skills and knowledge records. It is exported with the existing KnowledgeReader and export_bundle, then installed the way each harness loads skills.
    • W, workbench: the inferrsi CLI and runner on PATH, so the agent can run gated AB/BA comparisons with retained evidence instead of ad-hoc timing.
    Arm K W Purpose
    A0 off off Harness alone
    A0' off off A/A duplicate of A0, the noise floor of the whole pipeline
    A1 on off Knowledge effect
    A2 off on Workbench effect
    A3 on on InferRSI as intended

    The tooling supports all five arms: four configurations and the A/A duplicate. The first pilot runs A0, A0' and A3, so its primary comparison is A3 against A0. A1 and A2 decompose an effect once one has been shown.

    Within one harness, every arm shares the harness version, model ID, effort, task prompt, raw benchmark and validator commands, budget, workspace content, devices and permission rules. Every arm can run the task's own benchmark and validator. W adds a disciplined measurement path; it does not unlock measurement that A0 lacks. The only prompt difference is one frozen paragraph per arm that says what is available, and its hash is part of the plan.

    4. Hypotheses and endpoints

    All of these are frozen before any paid call.

    • H1, outcome (primary): at equal budget, A3 has a higher verified success rate than A0. A trial succeeds when its final patch passes the frozen validator on held-out inputs and the independent re-measurement returns PASS from evaluate at the task's frozen min_improvement_pct.
    • H2, claim reliability: A3 claims match the re-measurement more often. This is measured as claimed minus verified gain, and as the false-claim rate: the agent claims a gain at or above the target, but the grader returns FAIL or INCONCLUSIVE.
    • H3, cost: tokens, estimated USD, wall-clock and accelerator-hours per trial and per verified success, plus time to the first validly measured candidate.

    Secondary measures are descriptive only. They are verified gain (an invalid or failed patch counts as zero gain), pass@k and pass^k over repeats, and the process measures in section 8. A single primary endpoint keeps the pilot clear of multiple-comparison fishing.

    5. Tasks

    #220 gives three design rules. The configuration ceiling must sit below the target, the remaining step must be a code change, and benchmarks must block in the foreground instead of being pushed into the background by a harness time limit.

    Each task is a frozen task.json with:

    • the target repository URL and SHA, and the environment recipe and its hash;
    • a benchmark command that writes a JSON metric (the shape read_metric reads, as in synthetic_benchmark.py), a validator command, metric key, direction and min_improvement_pct;
    • visible development inputs and hidden held-out grading inputs, matching the campaign plan's held_out_split and held_out_release fields (campaign-plan.yaml#L139-L140);
    • protected paths (benchmark, validator, inputs). A final diff that touches them fails;
    • a reference solution that reaches the target, which proves headroom, and a configuration-only probe that does not, which proves the ceiling sits below the target;
    • a coverage label. covered means the frozen K bundle holds relevant but not answer-bearing knowledge; uncovered means it holds none. K should help only on covered tasks. Uncovered tasks test for harm: in a recent study, repository context files did not generally improve task success and raised inference cost by over 20% on average.

    Provenance rule: no K record may derive from the task's own campaign, evidence or reference patch. Before freeze, the K bundle is searched for the task's model, engine and reference-patch identifiers, and every hit is reviewed and listed in the plan. For now this rules out #75 as a held-out task, because seven files under src/inferrsi/data already mention Qwen3-TTS.

    • Tier 0 (CPU, minutes): about six small inference-path tasks with deterministic metrics, such as a sampler, a KV-cache layout, batched tokenization or a quantized matmul loop. Scripted clients run them in Ready CI, and they are also the cheap paid tier.
    • Tier 1 (one accelerator): one held-out engine task on a single device class, chosen after the ceiling probe and the provenance check. Device exclusivity uses qualify_devices, which already refuses a GPU that has a compute process (L91).

    6. Harness adapters

    Both adapters produce one normalized trial record. It holds the harness version, the model IDs actually used, effort, usage, estimated cost where the harness reports it, the commands the agent ran, the files it changed, errors, exit state, the final patch and the claim document. Both run under the existing execute_command deadline, so no trial outlives its budget. The prompt states the goal (metric, direction, target), the visible inputs, the commands and the budget. It says nothing about the held-out grading inputs.

    Claude Code (a new ClaudeCodeClient next to CodexClient):

    claude -p --output-format stream-json --verbose \
      --model <full model ID> --effort <level> \
      --max-turns <n> --max-budget-usd <usd> \
      --permission-mode dontAsk --allowedTools <frozen list> \
      --strict-mcp-config \
      [--plugin-dir <K bundle as a minimal plugin>]    # K arms only

    Every arm also gets this environment:

    • a fresh CLAUDE_CONFIG_DIR per trial, which holds settings, session history and plugins;
    • CLAUDE_CODE_DISABLE_AUTO_MEMORY=1 and CLAUDE_CODE_DISABLE_CLAUDE_MDS=1, so no host memory or CLAUDE.md reaches the agent;
    • CLAUDE_CODE_SUBAGENT_MODEL=<same ID> with CLAUDE_CODE_SUBAGENT_MODEL_FORCE=1, so subagents run on the frozen model;
    • BASH_DEFAULT_TIMEOUT_MS and BASH_MAX_TIMEOUT_MS above the task's benchmark time, plus CLAUDE_CODE_DISABLE_BACKGROUND_TASKS=1, so benchmarks block in the foreground. This removes the task: pre-registered campaign on experience and context compaction for agents on the #75 task (Qwen3-TTS 0.6B, RTX 4090), with exploratory results #220 failure mode where every benchmark became a background job;
    • DISABLE_AUTOUPDATER=1, so the version cannot change during the pilot.

    --bare is not used. It skips skill and plugin discovery and limits the agent to Bash, read and edit tools, so it would change the harness under test instead of isolating it. The system/init event must list the K plugin in K arms, no plugin in the other arms, no plugin_errors and no MCP servers. Any other result is a setup failure: the trial is INCONCLUSIVE and reruns under the frozen retry cap. The agent writes its claim document to a frozen path outside the checkout, and the adapter validates it against the claim schema.

    For cost, total_cost_usd and modelUsage are client-side estimates that include subagents, while usage leaves subagents out (cost tracking). Accounting therefore uses modelUsage. A trial whose modelUsage lists any model other than the frozen one is marked model_drift and reported, never silently dropped. --max-budget-usd checks an estimate that spend can pass, so the plan keeps headroom.

    Codex (a long-horizon mode of the existing CodexClient):

    • It reuses the current argv (skill_evaluation.py#L49-L75) and client_config(): --ignore-user-config --ephemeral --json, with apps, plugins, memories, web search and multi-agent off and project_doc_max_bytes=0.
    • The workspace is a clean checkout of the target repository, and changing it is the point. The inputs_changed rule does not apply; the grader checks protected paths instead. The timeout is the task's wall-clock budget, and the final message is the claim document through the existing --output-schema.
    • Every trial gets a fresh HOME and CODEX_HOME, with credentials injected at runtime. client_config() already disables global and bundled skills. K arms expose the bundle through repo-scope .agents/skills discovery in the trial checkout, as the Skill Eval discovery split already does (skill_eval_compare.py#L539). That directory is listed in the checkout's .git/info/exclude, so it never enters the graded patch. Other arms have no such directory. The exec --json stream reports thread, turn and item events, not a loaded-skill list, so the load check is file presence plus trace evidence that the agent read the skill files.
    • codex exec has no turn or spend cap, and one run reports usage only when its turn completes. The wall-clock deadline is the hard budget. Tokens are recorded and priced from a frozen price table in the plan, and trials over the frozen token cap are flagged.

    7. Trial protocol

    1. Freeze. prepare writes the plan and its digest. The plan holds the task pins, the arm definitions (prompt paragraph hashes, the K bundle digest, the InferRSI SHA for W), the harness version, model ID and effort, the budgets, the repetition count, the schedule seed, the retry cap, the price table and the decision rule.
    2. Authorize. The digest is posted here. A separate authorize step records the approver against that digest, following the existing Skill Eval modes (skill_eval_pr.py#L816). execute refuses a plan whose digest has no matching authorization.
    3. Schedule. Trials run in balanced blocks. Each block holds one trial per arm and task, and the order inside a block comes from the frozen seed. API-side drift and time-of-day effects therefore spread across arms instead of landing on one.
    4. Run. Each trial gets a fresh clone at the pinned SHA, a fresh harness home, the task prompt plus its arm paragraph, and the deadline. The raw event stream and the normalized record are kept.
    5. Collect. The final patch is the trial checkout's diff against the pinned SHA, including untracked files and excluding the harness's own files and the excluded skill directory. The claim document states the claimed metric and gain, the commands used to measure it and the files changed. "No gain found" is a valid claim.
    6. Grade. No model is involved. Patches are stored under opaque trial IDs, and the grader never sees arm labels. For each patch the grader:
      • applies it to a fresh checkout at the pinned SHA, failing the trial if it does not apply or touches a protected path;
      • runs the validator on the held-out inputs;
      • runs run_experiment with the pinned SHA as baseline and the patched checkout as candidate, alternating AB/BA order (runner.py#L163) and snapshotting both sources around every command (L68);
      • calls evaluate for a PASS, FAIL or INCONCLUSIVE verdict and the measured gain.
    7. Report. The arm map is joined only at this step. Every trial is retained, including setup failures and INCONCLUSIVE grades, each with its reason.

    8. Measures

    Group Measure Source
    Outcome Verified success; verified gain (zero for an invalid or failing patch); validator pass rate; protected-path violations Grader
    Claims Claim error (claimed minus verified gain); false-claim rate; under-claim rate (verified PASS, but the agent claimed nothing) Claim document and grader
    Cost Input, output and cache tokens; estimated USD; wall-clock; accelerator-hours; benchmark executions; cost per verified success (arm total cost divided by arm successes) Normalized record
    Process Whether the agent measured any candidate at all; candidates measured; time and tokens to the first valid measurement; distinct hypotheses tried; dead ends re-entered Trace
    Dose K arms: whether skill files were read. W arms: whether inferrsi commands ran Trace

    The dose check matters for interpretation. If K arms never read the skills, the knowledge effect was not tested; that is a different finding from a null effect.

    9. Statistics and decision rule

    • Unit and pairing: the unit is a trial. Trials are paired by task and block.
    • Primary analysis: the A3 minus A0 difference in verified success rate, with a 95% interval from a paired bootstrap that resamples blocks within tasks. Clustered standard errors by task (Miller 2024) are reported beside it, because trials of one task are correlated.
    • Repeat reliability: pass@k (Chen et al. 2021) says whether an arm can solve a task in k tries; pass^k (Yao et al. 2024) says whether it solves it every time. Both are computed over the r repetitions per task and arm.
    • Noise floor: A0 against A0' measures the false-positive rate of the full pipeline, including agent nondeterminism and grader noise. An A3 effect smaller than the A/A interval half-width is not counted.
    • Decision rule: the numbers are frozen in the plan; this is the shape.
      • Helps on this tier: the interval for A3 minus A0 excludes zero, the A3 false-claim rate is not higher than A0's, and cost per verified success is not worse than a frozen margin.
      • Harms on this tier: the interval lies below zero, or uncovered tasks show a lower success rate or a cost increase above a frozen margin with no success gain.
      • Not distinguishable: everything else. This outcome is reported as plainly as the other two.
    • Scale of detectable effects: with 30 trials per arm and success rates between 0.3 and 0.6, the standard error of the difference is about 0.12. At 80% power, that means only differences of about 0.35 or more are detectable, before accounting for task clustering. The plan derives its own minimum detectable effect from the M2 variance and sizes repetitions to it. If the budget cannot reach that size, the plan labels the pilot exploratory.
    • Discipline: outcomes are not viewed by arm before all trials are graded. A harness or model version change mid-pilot invalidates the affected blocks, which are rerun or reported separately. There is one primary endpoint. H2, H3 and the A1 and A2 decomposition are labeled exploratory unless the plan adjusts them for multiple comparisons.

    10. Milestones

    Milestone Deliverable Paid calls
    M0 tools/task_efficacy.py with prepare, authorize, execute, grade and report; the plan, claim and report schemas; the grader; two or three Tier-0 tasks, each with a reference solution and a ceiling probe. Scripted offline clients cover four behaviors: one improves the metric and claims it honestly, one claims a gain it did not make, one never measures, and one edits a protected path. Each must receive the expected grade in Ready CI. A test also confirms that the runner commands work from an InferRSI build without src/inferrsi/data, which the A2 arm uses. None
    M1 ClaudeCodeClient and the long-horizon CodexClient mode, tested offline against stub executables that replay recorded event streams. Tests cover the load checks, model-drift detection, deadline and budget enforcement and claim validation. M1 also adds the isolation check for paid hosts and completes the Tier-0 pack. None
    M2 Calibration on Tier 0 with one harness, A0 and A0' only, at a small repetition count. It measures run-to-run variance, the pipeline's false-positive rate and the setup-failure rate, and it confirms isolation on the real host. Separately authorized
    M3 The pilot: A0, A0' and A3 on Tier 0, plus the Tier-1 task if accelerator time is authorized, with repetitions sized from M2. Output: the report and the evidence bundle. Separately authorized
    M4 (optional) The second harness, the A1 and A2 decomposition and more Tier-1 tasks, decided after M3. Separately authorized

    M0 and M1 meet completion criterion 1. M2 and M3 meet criterion 2.

    11. Risks and mitigations

    Risk Mitigation
    Neither harness takes a seed, so runs vary Repetitions, balanced blocks, the A/A arm and intervals fixed before the pilot
    The harness or model changes mid-pilot Pinned versions, DISABLE_AUTOUPDATER=1, version and model IDs recorded per trial, and the model_drift flag. --fallback-model is never passed. Affected blocks are rerun or reported separately.
    Ceiling or floor effects, as in #220 Each task's reference solution and configuration probe are checked before freeze. A task that every arm solves, or that no arm solves, is reported as non-informative.
    Gaming the benchmark or overfitting the visible inputs Held-out grading inputs, protected paths, the validator, and re-measurement by the grader on a fresh checkout. The agent's own numbers never count.
    Knowledge reaching control arms through host files, site-packages or the public InferRSI repository Trials run in a container or as a separate OS user that cannot read any InferRSI checkout, data or evidence. A2 uses the data-free build. Web search and fetch are off in every arm, and network egress is limited to the model API. The M1 isolation check fails closed. Skill Eval's controlled exposure "is not OS read confinement" (skill-eval-comparison.md#L178), so the host has to enforce this.
    K overlaps the task The provenance rule and the reviewed identifier search in section 5. Pretraining exposure is the same in every arm, because the model is fixed.
    The agent never uses K or W The dose measures in section 8. A null result without dose is reported as untested, not as no effect.
    Spend overruns Per-trial --max-budget-usd and token caps, a frozen pilot total that execute checks before each trial, and the wall-clock deadline for Codex
    Agents run arbitrary commands Fresh clones, the container above, and a frozen --allowedTools list for Claude Code. client_config() currently sets sandbox_mode = "danger-full-access" for Codex (L24); the long-horizon mode overrides it to workspace-write where the device class allows, and otherwise relies on the container.
    Traces contain host paths, prompts or credentials Raw traces stay private. The report publishes aggregate tables and redacted excerpts. Publishing raw traces needs its own authorization.

    A result describes one InferRSI revision, one harness and model pair, and these tasks. It does not rank harnesses or models. A Tier-0 gain is not evidence about accelerator engine work unless Tier 1 shows it too.

    完整方案(中文译文):InferRSI 能否帮助 Claude Code 或 Codex 优化推理任务?

    本条评论是上一条英文评论的中文译文。两者如有出入,以英文版为准。

    核查时间为 2026-10-29,版本为 main 分支上的 509531c6。行号链接均指向该版本。这是一份提案:它不授权任何模型调用、加速器时间或发布。

    1. 现有评估为何无法回答这个问题

    现有路径 测量内容 面对优化任务的缺口
    Skill Eval run_trial 每次试验产出一份 Codex 答案文档,由冻结的验证器评分 智能体运行前后,工作区中的每个文件都会计算哈希,任何改动都会使该试验被判为 inputs_changed / INCONCLUSIVE(L262-L267)。验证器的时限为 30 秒(L241)。优化任务的交付物是代码改动,所以这条路径在设计上就会拒绝它。
    Configured 与 Collect 对比(#100、#128) 两到三个知识实验组,共用同一套报告审计考题 两者都依据冻结的验证器为答案文档评分。使用直连模型提供商的 worker 时,它只有读取和提交工具:“没有 shell、网络工具、外部智能体 CLI 或全局配置”(skill_eval_compare.py#L359)。
    引擎 runner run_experiment 与 evaluate 对给定的基线和候选做 AB/BA 对比,并在每条命令前后对源码做快照 它给候选评分,而不是给写出候选的智能体评分。正因如此,它是本 issue 合适的评分器。
    #220 的探索性运行 在 #75 任务上运行 library 和 compaction 实验组 所有实验组都停在同一个 ≈22% 的配置上限。研究 1 中多数实验组只运行了一次,不使用 library 的实验组运行了三次。研究 2 中,九个分支里有五个从未运行过基准测试。

    路线图已经点出了缺失的这一步:“任务效能试点:在有、无相关知识两种条件下比较一个有界任务;报告正确性、完成情况和成本”(#61)。

    2. 差异可能来自哪里

    机制 隔离该机制的实验组 能体现它的现象
    有来源依据的知识带来更好的初始假设:案例集、硬件笔记、以往的负面结果 A1 在 covered 任务上,候选更少,达到首个验证收益所需的时间更短
    测量纪律:AB/BA 顺序、冻结的校验器、源码快照,以及拒绝把噪声算作收益的判定 A2 至少对一个候选做过基准测试的试验更多,虚假声明更少
    搜索策略:每步只改一个变量、负面结果记忆、停止规则(即候选 skill optimization-search-policy) A1 轨迹已记为失败的死路被重新进入的次数更少
    额外的上下文和工具开销 A1、A3 每次试验消耗的 token 更多、成本更高,或在 uncovered 任务上成功率更低

    最后一行是预期的危害。收益和代价可能同时真实存在,所以结果、声明和成本分别作为独立的终点指标。

    3. 实验组与固定条件

    InferRSI 提供两样东西,它们可以各自独立地带来帮助:

    • K,知识:一个固定到特定版本的知识包,内含打包好的 skill 和知识记录。它通过现有的 KnowledgeReader 和 export_bundle 导出,再按各 harness(智能体运行框架)加载 skill 的方式安装。
    • W,workbench(工作台):放在 PATH 上的 inferrsi CLI 和 runner,让智能体能运行设有门槛、保留证据的 AB/BA 对比,而不是临时计时。
    实验组 K W 用途
    A0 关 关 仅使用 harness
    A0' 关 关 A0 的 A/A 副本,即整条流水线的噪声下限
    A1 开 关 知识效应
    A2 关 开 workbench 效应
    A3 开 开 按设计方式使用 InferRSI

    这套工具支持全部五个实验组:四种配置加上 A/A 副本。首个试点运行 A0、A0' 和 A3,因此主要比较是 A3 对 A0。A1 和 A2 在某个效应得到证明之后再用于分解该效应。

    在同一个 harness 内,所有实验组共享 harness 版本、模型 ID、effort、任务提示词、原始基准测试与校验器命令、预算、工作区内容、设备和权限规则。每个实验组都能运行任务自带的基准测试和校验器。W 增加的是一条有纪律的测量路径,并不会解锁 A0 所没有的测量能力。各实验组提示词的唯一差别是一段冻结的说明,告知该组可以使用哪些东西;这段说明的哈希值是计划的一部分。

    4. 假设与终点指标

    以下各项都在任何付费调用之前冻结。

    • H1,结果(主要):在预算相同的条件下,A3 的验证成功率高于 A0。一次试验算作成功,需要同时满足两点:其最终补丁在留出输入上通过冻结的校验器;独立的重新测量在该任务冻结的 min_improvement_pct 下由 evaluate 返回 PASS。
    • H2,声明可靠性:A3 的声明与重新测量结果相符的频率更高。衡量方式有两种:一是声明收益减去验证收益;二是虚假声明率,即智能体声称收益达到或超过目标,但评分器返回 FAIL 或 INCONCLUSIVE 的比例。
    • H3,成本:每次试验和每次验证成功对应的 token 数、估算的 USD 费用、墙钟时间和加速器小时数,以及得到首个经过有效测量的候选所需的时间。

    次要指标仅作描述,包括:验证收益(无效或失败的补丁按零收益计)、基于重复运行的 pass@k 和 pass^k,以及第 8 节中的过程指标。只设一个主要终点指标,可以避免试点在多重比较中挑选有利的结果。

    5. 任务

    #220 给出了三条设计规则:配置上限必须低于目标;剩下的那一步必须是代码改动;基准测试必须在前台阻塞运行,不能因为 harness 的时间限制被推到后台。

    每个任务都是一个冻结的 task.json,包含:

    • 目标仓库的 URL 和 SHA,以及环境配方及其哈希;
    • 一条输出 JSON 指标的基准测试命令(格式即 read_metric 读取的格式,可参考 synthetic_benchmark.py),一条校验器命令,以及指标键、方向和 min_improvement_pct;
    • 可见的开发输入和隐藏的留出评分输入,与 campaign 计划中的 held_out_split 和 held_out_release 字段对应(campaign-plan.yaml#L139-L140);
    • 受保护路径(基准测试、校验器、输入)。最终 diff 一旦触及这些路径即判为失败;
    • 一个能达到目标的参考解,用来证明存在提升空间;以及一个只改配置、达不到目标的探针,用来证明上限低于目标;
    • 一个覆盖标签。covered 表示冻结的 K 知识包中含有相关但不直接给出答案的知识;uncovered 表示其中没有相关知识。K 预期只在 covered 任务上有帮助。uncovered 任务用于检测危害:在一项近期研究中,仓库上下文文件总体上没有提高任务成功率,并且使推理成本平均上升了 20% 以上。

    来源规则:任何 K 记录都不得源自该任务自身的 campaign、证据或参考补丁。冻结之前,要在 K 知识包中搜索该任务的模型、引擎和参考补丁标识符,每一处命中都要经过审查并列入计划。按这条规则,#75 目前不能用作留出任务,因为 src/inferrsi/data 下已有七个文件提到 Qwen3-TTS。

    • Tier 0(CPU,分钟级):约六个推理路径上的小任务,指标是确定性的,例如采样器、KV-cache 布局、批量分词或量化 matmul 循环。脚本化客户端在 Ready CI 中运行这些任务,它们同时也是低成本的付费层级。
    • Tier 1(单个加速器):在单一设备类别上的一个留出引擎任务,在运行上限探针并完成来源检查后选定。设备独占通过 qualify_devices 实现,它已经会拒绝存在计算进程的 GPU(L91)。

    6. Harness 适配器

    两个适配器都会产出一份规范化的试验记录,内容包括:harness 版本、实际使用的模型 ID、effort、用量、估算成本(若 harness 有报告)、智能体运行过的命令、它改动的文件、错误、退出状态、最终补丁和声明文档。两者都在现有 execute_command 的截止时间下运行,因此任何试验都不会在预算耗尽后继续运行。提示词说明目标(指标、方向、目标值)、可见输入、命令和预算,对留出评分输入则只字不提。

    Claude Code(在 CodexClient 旁边新增一个 ClaudeCodeClient):

    claude -p --output-format stream-json --verbose \
      --model <full model ID> --effort <level> \
      --max-turns <n> --max-budget-usd <usd> \
      --permission-mode dontAsk --allowedTools <frozen list> \
      --strict-mcp-config \
      [--plugin-dir <K bundle as a minimal plugin>]    # K arms only

    每个实验组还会获得以下环境设置:

    • 每次试验使用全新的 CLAUDE_CONFIG_DIR,其中存放设置、会话历史和插件;
    • CLAUDE_CODE_DISABLE_AUTO_MEMORY=1 和 CLAUDE_CODE_DISABLE_CLAUDE_MDS=1,确保宿主机上的记忆和 CLAUDE.md 都不会传到智能体;
    • CLAUDE_CODE_SUBAGENT_MODEL=<same ID> 加上 CLAUDE_CODE_SUBAGENT_MODEL_FORCE=1,让子智能体也运行在冻结的模型上;
    • 将 BASH_DEFAULT_TIMEOUT_MS 和 BASH_MAX_TIMEOUT_MS 设为高于任务的基准测试耗时,并设置 CLAUDE_CODE_DISABLE_BACKGROUND_TASKS=1,让基准测试在前台阻塞运行。这消除了 task: pre-registered campaign on experience and context compaction for agents on the #75 task (Qwen3-TTS 0.6B, RTX 4090), with exploratory results #220 中每次基准测试都变成后台作业的失败模式;
    • DISABLE_AUTOUPDATER=1,确保试点期间版本不会变化。

    不使用 --bare。它会跳过 skill 和插件的发现,并把智能体限制在 Bash、读取和编辑工具上,因此使用它会改变被测的 harness 本身,而不是把它隔离出来。system/init 事件必须满足:K 实验组中列出 K 插件,其他实验组中不列出任何插件,没有 plugin_errors,也没有 MCP 服务器。出现其他任何结果都算环境准备失败:该试验判为 INCONCLUSIVE,并在冻结的重试上限内重新运行。智能体把声明文档写到检出目录之外的一个冻结路径,适配器依据声明 schema 对其进行校验。

    成本方面,total_cost_usd 和 modelUsage 是包含子智能体的客户端估算值,而 usage 不包含子智能体(成本追踪)。因此成本核算使用 modelUsage。如果某次试验的 modelUsage 中出现冻结模型以外的任何模型,该试验会被标记为 model_drift 并报告出来,绝不会被悄悄丢弃。--max-budget-usd 检查的是估算值,实际花费可能超过它,所以计划要留出余量。

    Codex(现有 CodexClient 的长时程模式):

    • 复用当前的 argv(skill_evaluation.py#L49-L75)和 client_config():--ignore-user-config --ephemeral --json,关闭应用、插件、记忆、网页搜索和多智能体,并设置 project_doc_max_bytes=0。
    • 工作区是目标仓库的一个干净检出目录,修改它正是目的所在。inputs_changed 规则在这里不适用,评分器改为检查受保护路径。超时时间就是任务的墙钟预算,最终消息即声明文档,通过现有的 --output-schema 输出。
    • 每次试验都使用全新的 HOME 和 CODEX_HOME,凭据在运行时注入。client_config() 已经禁用了全局 skill 和内置 skill。K 实验组通过试验检出目录中仓库级的 .agents/skills 发现机制暴露知识包,Skill Eval 中 discovery 划分的用例已经采用了这种做法(skill_eval_compare.py#L539)。该目录列在检出目录的 .git/info/exclude 中,因此不会进入被评分的补丁。其他实验组没有这个目录。exec --json 流报告的是 thread、turn 和 item 事件,而不是已加载 skill 的列表,所以加载检查依据的是文件存在,再加上轨迹中显示智能体读过 skill 文件的证据。
    • codex exec 没有轮次上限或花费上限,而且单次运行只在其轮次结束时才报告用量。墙钟截止时间就是硬性预算。token 会被记录下来,并按计划中冻结的价格表计价,超过冻结 token 上限的试验会被标记。

    7. 试验流程

    1. 冻结。prepare 写出计划及其摘要。计划包含任务的固定版本信息、实验组定义(提示词段落哈希、K 知识包摘要、W 所用的 InferRSI SHA)、harness 版本、模型 ID 和 effort、各项预算、重复次数、调度种子、重试上限、价格表和决策规则。
    2. 授权。摘要发布在本 issue 中。单独的 authorize 步骤针对该摘要记录批准人,沿用现有 Skill Eval 的几种模式(skill_eval_pr.py#L816)。如果计划的摘要没有对应的授权,execute 会拒绝执行。
    3. 调度。试验按平衡分块运行。每个分块对每个实验组和任务各包含一次试验,分块内的顺序由冻结的种子决定。这样,API 侧的漂移和时段效应会分散到各实验组,而不会集中落在某一个实验组上。
    4. 运行。每次试验都会获得固定 SHA 的全新克隆、全新的 harness 主目录、任务提示词加上所属实验组的说明段落,以及截止时间。原始事件流和规范化记录都会保留。
    5. 收集。最终补丁是试验检出目录相对固定 SHA 的 diff,包括未跟踪的文件,但不包括 harness 自身的文件和已排除的 skill 目录。声明文档写明所声称的指标和收益、测量时使用的命令以及改动的文件。“未发现收益”也是有效的声明。
    6. 评分。这一步不涉及任何模型。补丁以不透明的试验 ID 存储,评分器始终看不到实验组标签。对每个补丁,评分器会:
      • 把它应用到固定 SHA 的全新检出目录上,如果补丁无法应用或触及受保护路径,则判该试验失败;
      • 在留出输入上运行校验器;
      • 以固定 SHA 为基线、打过补丁的检出目录为候选运行 run_experiment,交替使用 AB/BA 顺序(runner.py#L163),并在每条命令前后对两份源码做快照(L68);
      • 调用 evaluate,得到 PASS、FAIL 或 INCONCLUSIVE 判定以及测得的收益。
    7. 报告。实验组映射到这一步才关联进来。每次试验都会保留,包括环境准备失败和评分为 INCONCLUSIVE 的试验,并各自附上原因。

    8. 测量指标

    类别 指标 来源
    结果 验证成功;验证收益(补丁无效或失败时按零计);校验器通过率;受保护路径违规 评分器
    声明 声明误差(声明收益减去验证收益);虚假声明率;少报率(验证结果为 PASS,但智能体未声称任何收益) 声明文档和评分器
    成本 输入、输出和缓存 token;估算的 USD 费用;墙钟时间;加速器小时数;基准测试执行次数;每次验证成功的成本(实验组总成本除以实验组成功次数) 规范化记录
    过程 智能体是否测量过任何候选;测量过的候选数;得到首次有效测量所需的时间和 token;尝试过的不同假设数;重新进入的死路数 轨迹
    剂量 K 实验组:是否读过 skill 文件。W 实验组:是否运行过 inferrsi 命令 轨迹

    剂量检查对结果解读很重要。如果 K 实验组从未读过 skill,知识效应就没有得到检验;这与零效应是两种不同的结论。

    9. 统计方法与决策规则

    • 单位与配对:分析单位是试验。试验按任务和分块配对。
    • 主要分析:A3 减 A0 的验证成功率之差,其 95% 区间由配对分块 bootstrap 给出,即在任务内对分块重抽样。同时报告按任务计算的聚类标准误(Miller 2024),因为同一任务的各次试验之间存在相关性。
    • 重复可靠性:pass@k(Chen et al. 2021)反映一个实验组能否在 k 次尝试内解决某个任务;pass^k(Yao et al. 2024)反映它能否每次都解决。两者都基于每个任务与实验组组合的 r 次重复计算。
    • 噪声下限:A0 对 A0' 的比较测量整条流水线的假阳性率,其中包括智能体的非确定性和评分器噪声。小于 A/A 区间半宽的 A3 效应不予计入。
    • 决策规则:具体数值在计划中冻结;这里给出的是规则的形式。
      • 在该层级有帮助:A3 减 A0 的区间不包含零,A3 的虚假声明率不高于 A0,且每次验证成功的成本变差幅度不超过冻结的容差。
      • 在该层级有危害:区间整体低于零;或者 uncovered 任务的成功率更低,或其成本增幅超过冻结的容差而成功率没有提高。
      • 无法区分:其余所有情况。这一结论会和前两种结论一样明确地报告出来。
    • 可检测效应的量级:每个实验组 30 次试验、成功率在 0.3 到 0.6 之间时,差值的标准误约为 0.12。在 80% 的统计功效下,这意味着只有约 0.35 或更大的差异才能被检测出来,而且这还没有考虑任务聚类。计划会根据 M2 的方差推导出自己的最小可检测效应,并据此确定重复次数。如果预算达不到这个规模,计划就把该试点标记为探索性的。
    • 纪律:在所有试验评分完成之前,不按实验组查看结果。试点中途若 harness 或模型版本发生变化,受影响的分块即告作废,需重新运行或单独报告。主要终点指标只有一个。除非计划对 H2、H3 以及 A1 和 A2 的分解做了多重比较校正,否则它们都标记为探索性的。

    10. 里程碑

    里程碑 交付物 付费调用
    M0 tools/task_efficacy.py,包含 prepare、authorize、execute、grade 和 report;计划、声明和报告的 schema;评分器;两到三个 Tier-0 任务,每个都配有参考解和上限探针。离线脚本化客户端覆盖四种行为:一个改进了指标并如实声明,一个声称了并未取得的收益,一个从不测量,一个修改了受保护路径。每个客户端都必须在 Ready CI 中得到预期的评分。另有一项测试确认,runner 命令在不含 src/inferrsi/data 的 InferRSI 构建上可以正常工作,A2 实验组使用的正是这种构建。 无
    M1 ClaudeCodeClient 和 CodexClient 的长时程模式,使用回放已录制事件流的桩可执行文件进行离线测试。测试覆盖加载检查、模型漂移检测、截止时间与预算的强制执行,以及声明校验。M1 还会为运行付费调用的主机加入隔离检查,并补全 Tier-0 任务集。 无
    M2 在 Tier 0 上做校准:只用一个 harness,只运行 A0 和 A0',重复次数较少。它测量运行间方差、流水线的假阳性率和环境准备失败率,并在真实主机上确认隔离生效。 需单独授权
    M3 试点:在 Tier 0 上运行 A0、A0' 和 A3,若加速器时间获得授权,再加上 Tier-1 任务;重复次数依据 M2 确定。产出:报告和证据包。 需单独授权
    M4(可选) 第二个 harness、A1 和 A2 的分解以及更多 Tier-1 任务,在 M3 之后决定。 需单独授权

    M0 和 M1 满足完成标准 1。M2 和 M3 满足标准 2。

    11. 风险与缓解措施

    风险 缓解措施
    两个 harness 都不接受种子,因此各次运行结果会有差异 重复运行、平衡分块、A/A 实验组,以及在试点前确定的区间
    试点中途 harness 或模型发生变化 固定版本、DISABLE_AUTOUPDATER=1、每次试验记录版本和模型 ID,以及 model_drift 标记。从不传入 --fallback-model。受影响的分块重新运行或单独报告。
    天花板效应或地板效应,如 #220 中的情况 冻结前检查每个任务的参考解和配置探针。每个实验组都能解决或没有任何实验组能解决的任务,报告为不具信息量。
    钻基准测试的空子,或对可见输入过拟合 留出评分输入、受保护路径、校验器,以及评分器在全新检出目录上的重新测量。智能体自己报告的数字一律不计。
    知识通过宿主机文件、site-packages 或公开的 InferRSI 仓库进入对照实验组 试验在容器中运行,或以独立的操作系统用户身份运行,该用户无法读取任何 InferRSI 检出目录、数据或证据。A2 使用不含数据的构建。所有实验组都关闭网页搜索和抓取,网络出口仅限模型 API。M1 的隔离检查在失败时默认拒绝(fail closed)。Skill Eval 的受控暴露“并不是操作系统层面的读取限制”(skill-eval-comparison.md#L178),因此必须由宿主机来强制实施。
    K 与任务重叠 第 5 节中的来源规则和经过审查的标识符搜索。由于模型是固定的,各实验组的预训练暴露都相同。
    智能体从未使用 K 或 W 第 8 节中的剂量指标。没有剂量的零结果报告为未经检验,而不是没有效应。
    花费超支 每次试验的 --max-budget-usd 和 token 上限,execute 在每次试验前检查的冻结试点总额,以及 Codex 的墙钟截止时间
    智能体运行任意命令 全新克隆、上文所述的容器,以及 Claude Code 冻结的 --allowedTools 列表。client_config() 目前为 Codex 设置了 sandbox_mode = "danger-full-access"(L24);长时程模式在设备类别允许时将其覆盖为 workspace-write,否则依赖容器。
    轨迹中包含宿主机路径、提示词或凭据 原始轨迹保持私有。报告发布汇总表和脱敏摘录。发布原始轨迹需要单独授权。

    一项结果描述的是一个 InferRSI 版本、一组 harness 与模型的组合,以及这些任务。它不对 harness 或模型进行排名。除非 Tier 1 也显示出这一收益,否则 Tier-0 上的收益不能作为加速器引擎工作方面的证据。

    Proposal review of the English plan and its Chinese translation, against the Issue body updated 2026-10-29T07:46:06Z. Assessed main: a8215b3ec314b8bc5cee152cdebbf4bb76ba4188; the plan cites 509531c681479fbdd7ddd0e8b0032239e64a44c1. This is a design/source review, with no model calls, device runs or executed efficacy measurements.

    The separation of K/W arms, equal access to raw measurement commands, held-out grading and model-free milestones is useful. Two experimental contracts need revision before preregistration:

    P2 — Separate refuted claims from unverified claims (§4, §8, §9). H2 currently counts both FAIL and INCONCLUSIVE as a false claim. The existing evaluator deliberately returns INCONCLUSIVE for missing metrics, timeouts or unverified source integrity; it does not establish that the claimed gain was false. An identical honest claim would therefore acquire a different “false” label merely because its grading run timed out, and this also changes the “helps” decision's H2 condition. Keep verified/refuted/unverified outcomes separate, state the false-claim denominator and grading coverage, and leave numeric claim error unavailable when no valid measured gain exists. If desired, retain an explicitly named “unverified-or-refuted claim” operational metric. Add an offline fixture where a valid claimed improvement meets a grader infrastructure failure.

    P2 — Define the enforced equal-budget comparison (§6, §11). The Codex design explicitly records usage only after completion and merely flags a token-cap overrun. The shared executor enforces elapsed time, not tokens or USD; checking the pilot total before starting a trial does not cap that trial's spend. Freeze the primary comparison as equal enforced wall-clock budgets unless another resource limit can actually be enforced. Label token/USD limits and estimates accordingly, and freeze how overruns and every setup retry enter outcomes and total cost; post-hoc exclusion must not create a favorable subset. Exercise those rules in M1 fixtures.

    Recommendation: revise these definitions, then have the authorized owner decide a bounded M0/M1 slice and the shared adapter boundary with #249. This review does not grant implementation or pilot resources. Requester remains @david6666666; accountable implementer and acceptance owner are still TBD. No completion or efficacy acceptance is established.

    当前受限执行切片:CPU KV-block 回收队列

    本轮推进一个独立的、已获 owner 授权的合成 CPU 任务与确定性判据,先完成无模型资格验证,再在隔离与成本约束满足时比较 workbench-only(A2)与 workbench+固定知识(A3)。实施与证据发布由当前 owner 侧工作承接;本 Issue 原有五臂、双 harness、加速器层级和整体验收仍分别保留为原提案,不据此全部接受或变更其他贡献者分工。

    • 任务边界: 优化回收队列;只有异步保存完成且写入保护已解除的 block 才能回收。目标是合成机制迁移,不是历史留出集或 vLLM 行为符合性。独立判据作者先冻结中立契约/测试,再与实现集成;知识包不从此任务答案生成。
    • 先完成的交付: 明确 API 与生命周期合同、正确/错误控制、保护路径与隔离探针、可测优化空间、执行截止时间,以及可复现的无模型资格结果。复用现有 runner/evaluate,保留既有 serving-parser 路径。资格验证不成立时先修实际缺口,不启动付费比较。
    • 比较规则: 先冻结任务、判据、知识 revision、模型/适配器、重复数、调度、主要终点和实际可强制执行的预算。分别报告 verified/refuted/unverified,记录知识读取开销和所有失败/重试;小样本只作探索性结果。完整预注册摘要将在任何付费调用前给出。
    • 资源边界: 本轮总上限 US$1,000,并同时遵守已有更严格的单 PR US$200、Asia/Shanghai 每日 US$1,000 限额;计入已有费用、未结预留、重试和并发承诺。上限不是花费目标。仅复用既有服务与权限,价格或最坏成本不可核实时停止付费步骤,不新增 provider、凭据、硬件租赁或订阅。

    该切片针对现有设计 review提出的结论分类与强制预算问题显式约束;其结果只用于这个有界任务,不能替代广泛的知识效果、Indexer 准确度或 campaign 验收。

    CPU reclamation: model-free qualification plan freeze

    Under the accepted bounded slice, the independent neutral verifier was frozen before the optimized software control: 88 traces / 1,076 events, with 11 development and 77 grader traces. The verifier author did not read the target knowledge or implementation before freeze.

    • Independent verifier freeze SHA-256: 163c21134a8155da2a6469d9dbddb6ea71cb162e14f53e1c4266fe8ce75126f7.

    • Chronology: this publishes the local pre-reference freeze. Public posting occurs after the optimized software control was authored and passed trusted direct-import correctness checks, but before any timing study. It is not a claim of a public prereference registration.
    • The plan requires full correctness/integrity controls before timing; reference headroom, A/A and no-op controls; enforced deadlines and actual sandbox probes. All failed/incomplete attempts remain evidence. Local sandbox preflight is unavailable; there is no host fallback. A narrow existing-Ready-lane Ubuntu qualification will provide a fresh host-specific result.

    No model calls, paid execution, actor-isolation acceptance, knowledge efficacy or production/vLLM conformance is established here. The broader Issue scope and original results remain unchanged.

    Pre-admission rates and accounting support a maximum $162.72 for the single bounded A2/A3 pair. No reservation or model call has occurred. The existing implementer must still bind the reviewed freeze and recheck prices/ledgers before execution.

    • At most 16 requests, with no automatic retries; PR275 is the sole charge identity.
    • Keep the $491.35 historical unknown-cost carryover reserved; the new PR275 genesis records $0 known prior charges.
    • This price-evidence window ends at 03:00 UTC on 31 October; admission needs at least 1,320 seconds of runway. Stop on changed or uncertain prices/accounting.
    • This is budget evidence, not efficacy or broader Issue acceptance.
    Exact rates, sources and accounting evidence

    Bounded CPU KV pilot: public rates and pre-admission accounting

    Public rates checked 2026-10-31 01:42 UTC at Yibuapi's official pricing API, version a42d372ccf0b5dd13ecf71203521f9d2, for claude-opus-5-5:

    USD per million tokens Input Output Cache read Cache write
    default / claude-code / claude-code-pro 8 40 0.4 10

    All three public group ratios remain 2. The token-based public record advertises no separate request fee; this calculation uses 0. Higher-priced groups exist.

    Effective-group provenance remains the prior owner-attested existing-credential statement, unchanged since 2026-10-30. This refresh does not independently inspect the account/invoice or renew that attestation. Stop if its applicability or the rates change.

    Operational price-evidence expiry: 2026-10-31 03:00 UTC (expires_at=1793415600). This is an admission cutoff, not a provider price guarantee. Recheck rates and accounting before admission; retain at least 1,320 seconds before both expiry and Shanghai midnight for the whole pair.

    Prospective maximum: one A2/A3 feasibility pair, at most 8 requests per arm / 16 total, no automatic retries. Each request reserves the full 1,000,000 input tokens at $10/M plus 4,096 output at $40/M: $10.16384, rounded up to $10.17/request; $162.72/pair.

    Accounting checked 2026-10-31 01:43 UTC: sole charge identity PR275, whose audited genesis has revision 0, no entries and $0 known prior charge. The unchanged daily ledger retains $491.35 across nine claimed entries with unknown actual cost/closure; midnight does not release them.

    After a prospective $162.72 reservation, remaining capacity would be $37.28 under PR275's $200 lifetime cap, $345.93 under the $1,000 Shanghai-day cap, and $837.28 under this pilot's separate $1,000 ceiling. The unrelated historical carryover constrains the day, not pilot-total spending.

    This comment records rates/accounting only. No pilot reservation or provider call has occurred. Genesis setup is not a spending grant; the exact reviewed execution freeze, qualification, durable admission and remaining authorization conditions still apply. No efficacy or broader Issue acceptance is claimed.

    Second-attempt price and accounting evidence

    Read-only snapshot: 2026-10-31 08:17–08:19 UTC. This supports the already scoped one additional A2/A3 pair (8+8 requests), not a third attempt, refund, or automatic retry. PR275 remains the sole charge identity.

    • Yibuapi official public pricing, version a42d372ccf0b5dd13ecf71203521f9d2, is unchanged for claude-opus-5-5: USD per million tokens: input 8; output 40; cache read 0.4; cache write 10. The default, claude-code, and claude-code-pro group ratios are all 2. The public token record advertises no separate request fee; the bound uses 0. Higher-priced groups are not covered.
    • Group applicability rests on the unchanged historical owner-attested existing-credential statement, last updated 2026-10-30 08:23:18Z. This is not a new account/invoice verification or renewed attestation. Expiry of that older operational plan does not itself revoke the factual statement, nor authorize this run. Stop if applicability or rates change or become uncertain.
    • All six budget refs remain unchanged from their verified histories. PR275 checkpoint 23bae898… retains the first pair's $162.72 unknown-cost claim. Daily checkpoint 936569a5… retains that plus $491.35 historical carryover: $654.07, all claimed with unknown actual cost and no closure. No day/PR reset or refund; these are conservative commitments, not actual billed totals.

    Worst case: per request, 1,000,000 input tokens at the highest input-class rate ($10/M) plus 4,096 output tokens at $40/M = $10.16384, rounded up to $10.17; 16 requests = $162.72.

    The reviewed prospective exception limits the lifetime-cap change to PR275: $350, with the Shanghai-day and pilot-total ceilings unchanged at $1,000 each. Retaining every old claim and adding the one new pair would total PR275/pilot $325.44; day $816.79, leaving $24.56 / $183.21 / $674.56 respectively. Other PRs retain the default $200 cap. No second reservation has been made by this publication.

    New prospective evidence window ends 2026-10-31 10:00 UTC (expires_at=1793440800). This is not a provider price guarantee or an extension of the expired first-run freeze. The required 1,320-second runway means actual admission no later than 09:38 UTC, allowing for queue/preflight time. Fresh prices/accounting, exact new v2 freeze/locator, reviewed source-bound qualification and durable admission remain required before any call. No new credential/account access, broader acceptance, or efficacy claim is implied.

    Refreshed rates/accounting — same unused additional pair

    Fresh public read: 2026-10-31 10:22–10:23 UTC. New explicit evidence expiry: 12:00 UTC (1793448000); latest actual admission: 11:38 UTC, retaining the required 1,320-second runway. The previous 10:00 window expired without a second admission and remains unchanged. This is the same one additional 8+8 pair, not another attempt or budget reset.

    • Official Yibuapi public pricing remains version a42d372ccf0b5dd13ecf71203521f9d2. For claude-opus-5-5, USD/M rates remain input 8, output 40, cache read 0.4, cache write 10. default, claude-code and claude-code-pro each retain group ratio 2. No separate request fee is advertised; the bound uses 0. Other higher-priced groups are not covered.
    • The historical existing-credential group statement is unchanged since 2026-10-30 08:23:18Z. This does not renew the attestation or independently verify the account/invoice. The older operational plan's expiry does not itself revoke that factual statement. Stop if group applicability or rates change or become uncertain.
    • All six ledger tips and retained manual-run history are unchanged. PR275 23bae898… retains the first unknown-cost $162.72 claim; daily 936569a5… retains it plus $491.35 older carryover: $654.07. No second reservation, settlement or refund is observed. These are retained bounds, not actual billed totals; midnight does not release them.

    Bound: (1,000,000 × $10/M) + (4,096 × $40/M) = $10.16384, rounded up to $10.17/request × 16 = $162.72. The exact prospective exception remains PR275 lifetime $350 only; day/pilot ceilings $1,000 each; exactly one additional pair, with all old claims retained and other PRs' default $200 unchanged. Prospective totals remain PR275/pilot $325.44; day $816.79, leaving $24.56 / $183.21 / $674.56 respectively. No third attempt or automatic retry.

    The new expiry is an operational evidence window, not a provider price guarantee. Exact refreshed v2 freeze/locator, reviewed source-bound qualification, current-host preflight, fresh action-time price/accounting checks and durable admission must still pass; queue/preflight time counts toward the 11:38 admission cutoff. This comment makes no reservation or provider call and grants no new credential/account access or broader efficacy claim.
