The Code of Conduct reporting address (forgelm@hodetech.io) does not resolve #966
CODE_OF_CONDUCT.md (line 39) names forgelm@hodetech.io as the address for Code of Conduct reports. The domain does not resolve:
dig +short hodetech.io A, and the same query against 1.1.1.1, both return NXDOMAIN.
whois hodetech.io returns "Domain not found".
This is pre-existing, not introduced by #964. #964's MAINTAINERS.md repeated the address and has since been changed to point at the Code of Conduct's enforcement section instead, so the duplication is gone — but the address itself is still published in CODE_OF_CONDUCT.md.
Impact. A harassment or conduct report sent there bounces or is lost, and anyone who registers the domain receives whatever is sent to it. A Code of Conduct with an unreachable reporting channel is worse than one that names no address, because it looks functional.
Options.
Register the domain (or use one the organisation already controls) and point the mailbox at a monitored inbox.
Replace the address with a monitored mailbox on a reachable domain.
If neither is possible, replace the email with a channel that provably works — for example a named maintainer's GitHub profile, whose contact route is the platform's own.
Acceptance criteria:
CODE_OF_CONDUCT.md names a reporting channel that is demonstrably reachable (the issue records how it was checked).
MAINTAINERS.md remains consistent with it.
The chosen channel is defined in exactly one place, so the two files cannot drift.
