Associate wizard form labels with their conditional input controls #950

Closed

Description

@cemililik

Found during native-browser review of #946. In site/js/wizard.js, many text/select/number input captions are separate label elements without for, while their input has no matching id. For example the monitoring endpoint caption is a sibling of its text field, whose accessible name falls back to its placeholder. Wrapped checkbox labels are associated and should remain so. The new monitoring interval uses an explicit association; the broader wizard remains inconsistent.

Acceptance criteria:

  • Associate every visible form caption with its text/select/number/textarea control using unique, stable id / for pairs or label wrapping.
  • Keep checkbox/radio semantics and repeated accordion rendering correct, without duplicate IDs.
  • Verify keyboard navigation, label-click focus, and accessible names in the actual wizard, including conditional fields.
  • Add DOM-level regressions for generated IDs and associations; document the browser verification performed.

    Notes from the browser verification for this issue (#954). These problems are older than this change. Each one is tracked, and #954 now fixes two of them (#952, #953):

    #954 also fixes #879. The Compliance step threw before its controls appeared, so they could not be labelled or checked until that crash was fixed.
