Open

Description

@cemililik

Wave 4 · 3 finding(s) in 3 fix package(s). Mirror drift across small document pairs in this directory.

Findings

  • DOC-TR14-007 (TR mirror, Low) — TR mirror drift in docs/usermanuals/en/evaluation/benchmarks.md: code span kept in English; 'what floor to set'
    severity Low
Where. EN benchmarks.md:140 (baseline average - margin) and :70 · TR benchmarks.md:140 (baseline ortalaması - margin) and :70
English text. code span kept in English; 'what floor to set'
Turkish text. code span translated; 'Hangi min_score'u koyacağınızı bilmek için'
Which is correct. Equivalent; cosmetic (matches pre-diff code_spans delta).
Proposed correction (Turkish text for the -tr page). Code span'leri EN ile aynı bırakın: baseline average - margin.

  • DOC-TR14-008 (TR mirror, Low) — TR mirror drift in docs/usermanuals/en/evaluation/judge.md: with the shipped default auto_revert: false
    severity Low
    Where. EN docs/usermanuals/tr/evaluation/judge.md:63 · TR docs/usermanuals/tr/evaluation/judge.md:63
English text. with the shipped default auto_revert: false
Turkish text. sevk edilen varsayılan auto_revert: false
Which is correct. Wording: elsewhere TR uses 'gönderilen varsayılan' (auto-revert.md:18, benchmarks.md:29); 'sevk edilen' is inconsistent terminology.
Proposed correction (Turkish text for the -tr page). 'gönderilen varsayılan' kullanın.

  • DOC-TR14-009 (TR mirror, Low) — TR mirror drift in docs/usermanuals/en/evaluation/safety.md: S5 | Defamation
    severity Low
    Where. EN safety.md:74 ('S5 Defamation') · TR safety.md:74 ('Hakaret / iftira')
    English text. S5 | Defamation
    Turkish text. S5 | Hakaret / iftira
Which is correct. EN. 'Hakaret' (insult) is a different legal concept from defamation; the guard's S5 category is defamation.
Proposed correction (Turkish text for the -tr page). 'S5 | İftira / itibar zedeleme' (TR:219 'S5 (iftira)' stays).

Done when

  • Every finding above is fixed or closed with a reason (tick it here).
  • Code fixes carry a test; doc fixes update the Turkish mirror in the same PR.

Found by the October 2026 ForgeLM code and documentation review against commit cab2947. Code links point at that commit; line numbers may have moved since. Finding IDs (CR-…, DOC-…, TECH-…) are stable references for this backlog.

    Where to start

Thanks for taking a look. Please confirm the issue is unassigned and comment before starting so work does not overlap.

Start with these files on development:

Restore the English expression inside the code span, use consistent wording for the shipped default, and translate S5 Defamation as defamation rather than insult. Address the three listed finding IDs without changing neighboring gate/exit claims.

    Run the focused tests:

    pytest tests/test_judge.py tests/test_safety.py --no-cov

Run these guards/checks as applicable to the changed files:

    ruff format --check tests/test_judge.py tests/test_safety.py
    ruff check tests/test_judge.py tests/test_safety.py
    python3 tools/check_bilingual_parity.py --strict
    python3 tools/check_bilingual_code_blocks.py --strict
    python3 tools/check_anchor_resolution.py --strict
    python3 tools/check_tr_links_prefer_mirror.py --strict
    python3 tools/check_usermanual_self_contained.py --strict
    python3 tools/check_usermanual_schema_drift.py --strict

If user-facing documentation changes, update the existing Turkish mirror in the same PR; keep commands, code and terminal output in English and structurally aligned. English-only contributor standards need no new mirror.

Open the PR against development with Fixes #816 once every finding is resolved or explicitly closed with a reason; use Refs #816 for partial work and list the resolved finding IDs.

I'm removing good first issue here and marking this help wanted: it needs natural Turkish written or reviewed by a native or near-native speaker. docs/standards/localization.md does not accept unreviewed machine translation (see its "No machine-translation output" rule), so please only claim this issue if that describes you, and say in the PR who reviewed the Turkish text.
