Welcome to the Galapagos Linux wiki!

Galapagos Linux is a distribution created due to discontent with the bureaucracy and dispute resolution policies of Gentoo Linux. We are for now a derivative distribution rather than a fork, but watch this space. More is coming!

We sync from the main Gentoo mirror at least once a week, sometimes more often.

Please file bugs on the GitHub issue tracker against main. We will eventually set up a custom GitLab instance or something.

Want to help? Here's a list of things you can do right now! All contributions are welcome. You don't have to know how to write ebuilds, even. All talents are welcome.

If you would like to upstream any of our work, a courtesy notice on IRC would be appreciated (but strictly optional).
