Summary

  • dispatch each configured active CI workflow once after the GitHub worker merges a batch
  • make the composite action enable that behavior by default
  • pause the pipeline if post-merge CI dispatch fails
  • document and test the required workflow_dispatch and actions: write contract
  • pin v0.2.2 to implementation commit 2a502a74251e2fbb07e5b4769ce99687235df5ae

This closes GitHub's built-in-token event gap: merges made by github.token do not produce ordinary push workflow runs, but explicit workflow dispatch is allowed.

Verification

  • 81 tests + 11 subtests
  • Ruff
  • wheel and sdist build
