Summary

New command fasthep render graph <build dir>: renders graph/graph.d2 of a compile output directory to graph/graph.svg.

fasthep render graph BUILD_DIR
  render_compile_graph(BUILD_DIR)      # fasthep_render.graph.compile_hooks, no size limit
  -> Status: rendered | skipped | failed
     Output: BUILD_DIR/graph/graph.svg

The compile hook now skips large graphs and its warning names this command.

Evidence

  • Before: no command to render a skipped graph; the only CLI render command is fasthep render spec (needs a spec and a product).
    After: fasthep render graph build/zjets-jec-v5-compile renders the graph on demand.
  • New test in tests/test_cli_render.py (delegates to render_compile_graph without a limit, prints status and output). Suite: 68 passed; ruff and mypy clean. CHANGELOG.md (Added).

Merge Danger

Door: two-way.

Blast Radius: new CLI command only

Needs render_compile_graph from fasthep-render; without it the command fails with an import error.

Depends on: FAST-HEP/fasthep-render#11
