Summary

keep the desktop card's media column visible when a room has no photo
show building initials as a fallback so the empty media area still identifies the building
retain the fallback behind the canvas when a photo fails to load
add regression coverage for the fallback and desktop layout

Testing

npm test — 934 passed, 4 skipped, 0 failed
