I'm a Graduate Engineer at KPMG MBS Malta and a part-time M.Sc. Artificial Intelligence student at the University of Malta with a focus on Biomedical Signal Processing.
I'm interested in the point where AI, software and hardware start overlapping.
A lot of what I work on comes from asking "Could I actually build this" and then inevitably ending up with Python, an Arduino, a pile of components, several browser tabs and considerably more coffee than I started with.
I enjoy experimenting with hardware, electronics and systems where code has some kind of effect on the physical world.
Some of my side projects and experiments include:
- ๐ค Robotics & Microcontrollers - Arduino, ESP32, sensors, servos and automation
- ๐จ๏ธ 3D Printing & Modelling - designing and prototyping parts for projects
- ๐ฅ๏ธ Servers & Local AI - experimenting with Linux, WSL, GPUs, self-hosting and local models
- โ๏ธ PC Hardware - building, upgrading and inevitably dismantling computers
Python C# C++ Java SQL R Bash JavaScript PHP
PyTorch TensorFlow OpenCV scikit-learn MNE
Power BI Databricks Synapse MySQL Git GitHub GitLab
Arduino ESP32 Linux WSL Docker 3D Printing
HTML CSS JavaScript Apache & Flask Bootstrap
University work covering both text processing and speech processing, including practical NLP pipelines and experimentation.
An IoT-focused project exploring connected devices, sensors, embedded systems and software, with an emphasis on collecting and processing real-world data through an integrated IoT system.
A Computer Vision project focused on applying Deep Learning techniques to image-based tasks, using modern machine learning and computer vision workflows.
My undergraduate Final Year Project explored machine learning techniques for microRNA target site classification.
When I'm not staring at code or wiring something incorrectly on a breadboard, you'll probably find me:
- ๐ฎ Playing games - especially Cyberpunk 2077, Ghostrunner, Factorio, Minecraft
- ๐จ๏ธ Designing or printing something I convinced myself I needed
- ๐ง Tinkering with electronics
- ๐ค Experimenting with AI models
- ๐ฅ๏ธ Messing around with operating systems, servers and PCs
- ๐ต Listening to music
- โ Converting coffee into questionable decisions
