Add a conditional descriptor-relative namespace classifier, unchanged Pro fixture controls and independent owned-temp verification. Complete C05/V03, original runtime integration and interval stability remain open.

Exact publication readback is complete at head Hosted run 41394202395 completed attempt 1 successfully: plan job The canonical completion handoff records the completed actual Pro consultation, exact source identities, retained evidence, conditional contract and smallest next task. The module-local guard is not a lock; serialized nonreentrant callers and protected native/singleton state are explicit local premises. Open-return ambiguity, adverse close/delivery, original Root/writer integration, complete compiler rules/content/alias expansion, compilation-interval currentness and complete fit/cost remain open. This delivers the bounded new observation component only. Full C05/V03/O03, original whole-activity credit, source adoption and performance/kappa remain unclaimed. Original weighted completion stays 43.5%, with unknown costs OPEN_NOT_ZERO. Only the new code and owned temporary fixtures ran; original compiler/Root/provider/producer/helper, native extension and scientific workloads did not run. The original stopped rounds and all original selections remain unchanged. |
Change and mathematical scope
Adds a genuine descriptor-relative namespace-classification component for the next C05 prerequisite. It replaces supplied per-path absence/object-kind facts with its own native no-follow component lookups and held O_PATH descriptors. The pre-existing owner retains raw metadata, errors and known descriptor ownership; successful diagnostic projection keeps all complete-qualification flags false.
The implementation distinguishes regular-content-unread, directory-membership-unenumerated, unresolved symlink, unsupported special object, nondirectory prefix and absence-at-pinned-parent. It does not follow intermediate or final symlinks while claiming no-follow behavior. Known descriptor ownership is consumed before one close attempt; admitted-operation/projection failures quarantine subsequent acquisition in this module. A real ENAMETOOLONG control verifies primary identity and cross-instance refusal without a private reset or replaced native primitive.
Partial prerequisite only. The primitive does not derive the installed compiler's effective search chain, read regular contents, resolve aliases, produce an ordinary source_files row, durably capture evidence, authenticate the original Root, or establish absolute/compilation-interval stability. The active-owner check is not a thread lock: this partial interface requires serialized nonreentrant calls and explicit protected-dispatch/noninterference premises. These are not newly accepted original C05 assumptions. Open-return ambiguity remains pending/quarantined; adverse close/delivery and original owner integration remain unqualified.

Executed locally on Python 3.12.3:
Metadata/pins, all four registered commands and the ten-file committed-byte preflight passed. Each Python profile (normal and optimized) passed the two Pro-proposed test methods and independent controls covering 18 successful observation scenarios, 14 pure input refusals, 133 closed-descriptor EBADF probes, one actual ENAMETOOLONG/quarantine control and two temporal counterexamples. The 526 internal checks per independent run are not 526 independent families or original activities.
Fixture expectations are fixed independently before candidate observation. Controls include distinct and empty regular objects, mode-zero classification without a readability claim, final/intermediate/dangling symlinks, FIFO, PCH object alternatives, hardlink path distinction, the exact 64-component/65-descriptor positive, actual error retention and post-failure acquisition refusal. Outcome ABA demonstrates absence/presence/absence; complete metadata endpoint equality is not claimed. A separate real-OS ancestor rename demonstrates that a held directory need not remain at its old absolute spelling.
Only this new component and fresh owned temporary fixtures were executed. The suites create no subprocess and import no original Root/provider/producer/helper or archived candidate. No compiler, native extension build, historical control, target process or scientific workload was executed. Fixtures and raw local output are retained. An initial sparse-staging refusal and premature pre-commit byte-check failure are preserved locally; staging was corrected only for the new package. A validation-field wording clarification changed no tested Python bytes. No functional source repair was needed.
Exact remote branch, tree and sole canonical parent were read back. Hosted checks are pending at submission. The fixed 60-minute unit has its own source gate, 30-minute no-progress stop and hard deadline; it does not restart the old V03 round. Local source bounds (at most 65 held FDs and 324 Python-level primitive invocations per supported path) are not kernel-syscall, wall-time or complete-cost bounds. Original limits (512 rows, 64 MiB/file, 256 MiB/capture) and parent fit obligations remain unchanged. Original weighted completion stays 43.5%, stage 2/10, milestones 1/10 and component denominator 24. Whole C05/V03/O03, source adoption, performance and kappa credit remain open; unknown costs remain OPEN_NOT_ZERO.
