Inside Tables an application now opens on an overview to manage it: its name, address, settings, pages and menu. Its tables and views are shown where the application is used: opened on its own.

What changes

  • Header: icon, name, description and the application's address, with a copy button and "Open application". The owner gets a menu to edit name, icon and members, import a scheme, transfer ownership or delete the application.
  • Pages: a table of the menu items in menu order (1, 1.1, 2, …) with their type and what they show: the widget count of a page with widgets, the table of a view, the row count of a table, or the address of a link. A page with widgets gets a "Design" button for those who can manage it.
  • Add page (owner): "Page with widgets" creates a grid view, adds it to the menu straight away and opens it. "Table or view" and "Link" open the menu editor with a new entry of that kind.
  • Menu (owner): a preview of the menu, and "Edit menu" to change it in place with the same editor and checks as the create dialog. Saving replaces the menu through the existing context update.
  • Behaviour change: inside Tables, an application no longer lists its tables and views below its title; they show when the application is opened on its own. Opening an application no longer collapses the Tables navigation.
  • Tests: a Cypress component test covers turning the stored menu into editor items; Playwright tests add a page with widgets from the overview and reorder and nest menu entries. The existing application tests now check the tables and views in the application opened on its own.

The Design and Open buttons in the pages table navigate through the app's router, as NcButton's 'to' renders a plain button in this app. The menu test finds the label and link fields by their label, as the data-cy attributes sit on the inputs themselves. The relation test opens the application on its own, where its tables render since the overview replaced them.

Inside Tables the overview only loads what the tables and views are; their rows load when the application is opened on its own, where they are shown. A page added while the menu is being edited joins that draft, so saving it keeps the page, and the menu payload is built the same way as when the menu is saved. When the page cannot be added to the menu, the message says so and the page opens.

NcButton cannot follow a route in this app, but it renders a link for an href. The buttons in the pages table point at the route inside the Tables address, so they open in a new tab and can be copied again, and a plain click stays within the app.
