History now filters directory basenames, task kinds and recorded exit codes before pagination. The workbench applies criteria explicitly, keeps successful criteria for paging/refresh and preserves the prior page after failure. Corrupt indexes remain separately unavailable; report bodies and parent paths are not searched. Searches never rerun verification or create apply capability.
Validation: two diagnostic failures before implementation; 746 tests passed with one optional Docker check skipped; TypeScript, ESLint and build passed. Native Chrome used synthetic private history and verified filters, paging, failed-read retention and 390px layout with only history API requests. No deployment or npm publication.
