fix(zcode): stop asking a signed-in account without a plan to log in - #621
A ZCode Desktop account that is signed in but has no active plan is reported as 需要登录 / Login required. This happens to every free user once the Start Plan trial or an event quota (such as the 1024 gift) expires. Signing in again can't help, because the account is already signed in. See #620 for the read-only probe on an affected Mac: the balance API returns 200 with plans: [] and inspect() returns authenticationRequired.
ZcodeAdapter.inspect() returned authenticationRequired whenever the model catalog was empty. accountConfig() can already tell the two cases apart, so this PR carries that bit through:
accountConfig() returns signedIn, which is true when ZCode Desktop has an active Zhipu sign-in (oauth:active_provider), whether or not the account is entitled to anything.
CliTransport stores it with the account parameters and exposes signedIn.
inspect() with an empty catalog:
signed out: unchanged, authenticationRequired (需要登录).
signed in: configurationRequired (需要配置). The message says the account has no available models (no Start Plan or event quota, no Personal Coding Plan, no personal provider), that free trial and event quotas expire, and that the user can subscribe to GLM Coding Plan or add a personal provider (API Key) in ZCode Desktop.
The adapter's native semantics are unchanged: same model catalog, same entitlement checks, no new requests. Only the reported state and message differ. configurationRequired is an existing HarnessErrorCode that the Renderer already maps to 需要配置, and omp uses it the same way for "no models" (docs/architecture/harness-executable-discovery.md).
If ZCode is signed in but the Start Plan balance request fails, the Start Plan entitlement is unknown (startPlanChecked: false). inspect() still returns configurationRequired, but the message says the balance could not be checked and asks to re-detect later, instead of claiming there is no active Start Plan.
Limitations
This does not make models available to an account without a plan. ZCode itself offers none until the user subscribes or adds a provider.
An expired Personal Coding Plan with a stored API key keeps its existing entitlement reporting. This PR only changes the empty-catalog state.
npx vitest run --config tests/vitest.config.js packages/adapters/zcode (after the review follow-up, on Node 22): 12 files passed and 2 skipped (native tests that need CODEXHOST_TEST_ZCODE_APP); 152 tests passed and 14 skipped.
New tests:
test/account.test.ts:
signed-in account with no plans or balances stays signed in but not entitled: balance API returns plans: [], balances: [], so signedIn: true, startPlan: false, and the Start Plan is not-entitled.
signed-out ZCode Desktop is reported as signed out: empty credentials, so there's no fetch and signedIn: false.
test/inspect.test.ts, with a fake createTransport:
signed in with an empty catalog gives configurationRequired.
signed out with an empty catalog gives authenticationRequired.
signed in with an empty catalog and an unreadable Start Plan balance gives configurationRequired with the "could not be checked" message.
a catalog with a model gives ready.
test/account.test.ts also asserts startPlanChecked (true for plans: [], false on a network error).
With the src change reverted, the tests that cover the new behavior fail.
npm run typecheck (tsc -b plus the tests tsconfig): passed.
npm run lint (eslint plus boundary check): passed. Prettier check on packages/adapters/zcode: passed.
Real-machine check (macOS 27.0.1 arm64, ZCode Desktop 3.16.3): ran the installed 0.14.0 plugin's inspect() read-only against the signed-in account whose quota has expired. It reproduces authenticationRequired with plans: [] (output in [Bug] ZCode: signed-in account without an active plan is reported as 需要登录 (login required) #620). I haven't installed the patched build on that Mac or checked it in the Desktop UI.
