BitMatch can now show the current transfer in the Mac menu bar: the current copy, verification, or report stage; bounded progress; each destination's processing status; and the latest saved transfer outcome. The menu includes Open BitMatch and Quit. It reads the existing coordinator and journal, so there is no second transfer state or engine.
Closing the main window during an active transfer or queue hides that same window while work continues. Open BitMatch and Dock reopen focus it. An idle close keeps normal WindowGroup behavior. Quit still asks before stopping active work and waits for journal settlement. Per-destination processed counts are labelled as pending results because the count includes failures and is not verification evidence.
The idle menu icon is a small copy mark rather than a generic dot cluster. Main-window setup now receives the window from its own SwiftUI scene, so a frontmost Settings window cannot be mistaken for the transfer window.
Local validation: the full Mac app suite passed after the final changes: 268 XCTest cases (12 skipped) and 151 Swift Testing cases, zero failures. Coverage includes an actual Standard copy and readback that finished while the window was hidden, persisted its completed journal result, then reopened the same window and coordinator. The exact-window regression passed, and
git diff --checkis clean. The Mac app builds as part of the test run. The maintainer also checked a live screenshot showing the menu-bar popup and its latest saved outcome. A live hide/reopen gesture in the SwiftUI app remains a manual release-walkthrough item.
