AppleDouble handling now lives in Settings → File handling instead of the transfer window. Recognized companions are ignored when no preference has been saved; saved choices and queued transfer policies are retained. Other hidden files and camera sidecars are preserved. Setup shows only a nonzero exclusion count, with the review list tucked into Settings. Analysis failures still block Start.

Advanced → Transfer details adds optional operator and notes, collapsed by default. Values are remembered until cleared, snapshotted per queued card, and included in automatic/History PDF, CSV, JSON and ASC MHL. Old settings decode without losing their values, MHL comments escape user text, and details never enter diagnostic logs.

Expanded testing exposed two PDF presentation defects: intentional exclusions were also counted as file errors, and long multiline notes left excess space on the first page. Both were reproduced with failing regressions and fixed locally in report presentation. Exclusions remain explicit, selected files stay independently verified, and the whole-card verdict stays unsafe when files were omitted.

Local validation:

  • Final Mac suite: 1,090 passed, 11 optional skips, zero failures.
  • Final iPad Air M4 and iPhone 17 Pro simulator suites: 64 passed, six optional captures skipped, zero failures each.
  • Full engine: 123 XCTest cases (15 optional skips), plus 134 Swift tests; zero failures.
  • Mounted-filesystem matrix: 800 combinations / 1,600 initial-and-repeat transfers across APFS, HFS+, exFAT, case-sensitive APFS and FAT32; all modes, one/two backups, MHL/report settings. Expected Quick/MHL refusals asserted.
  • Project/import/report matrix: 270 cases; rename matrix: 320; case collisions: 20. All passed.
  • 4 GiB + 1 byte limit test: FAT32 fails with EFBIG, APFS backup remains verified, overall verdict remains unsafe.
  • Injected filesystem faults: 55 tests passed across five filesystems, including cancellation, publication/read/write errors, replacement and existing-history preservation.
  • Two concurrent 45 GB sparse-file readbacks: both reached overlap, peak physical footprint 20 MiB. Three memory/diagnostic tests passed.
  • Combined real transfer/report/preview tests: eight transfers with two backups, all modes and both metadata policies. Generated H.264, HEVC and ProRes MOV/MP4/M4V script: 16 tests passed. Corrupt/unsupported clips remain listed.
  • Seeded Standard soak: 200 iterations, eight files and two backups each, independent output digests; passed.
  • Final PDF layouts visually inspected; all 75 manifest rows and 180 tagged note lines retained. Settings layouts previously inspected at 320/500/820 points.
  • Mac and mobile Release builds passed. Signed universal Mac archive and DMG passed signature verification using the existing build process. Local candidate only; no notarization or release published.

Physical-device picker/keyboard/share workflows and real USB/dock disconnects are not simulated by these checks. Earlier failed runs and corrected test assumptions remain documented in docs/TRANSFER_DETAILS_VALIDATION.md; final gates are green. PR #18 (PDF thumbnails) is already merged.
