[DOCS] Create and populate 'More' dropdown pages — about, contact, faq, links, resources #28

Description

@kristopherjturner

Summary

The More dropdown in the top navbar routes Contact, FAQ, Links, and Resources to a /working "coming soon" placeholder. Only About has real content. All five pages need to be written and published on the azurelocal.cloud docs site.

Pages to Create / Update

1. About (/about) — Update existing content

The page exists but content is generic. Expand to cover:

  • What Azure Local Cloud is (the community-driven initiative)
  • Mission, scope, and goals of the project
  • Who is behind it — Hybrid Cloud Solutions LLC is the author/maintainer
  • How the GitHub org is organized (repos, docs site, aztoolkit, training)
  • How to contribute and get involved

2. Contact (/contact) — Currently routes to /working

Use Hybrid Cloud Solutions as the contact entity (this is the author/maintainer LLC per the IIC standards doc). Include:

  • Contact information for Hybrid Cloud Solutions
  • GitHub Discussions link for community questions
  • GitHub Issues links (bug reports / feature requests) for each repo
  • Note on the relationship between Azure Local Cloud (community project) and Hybrid Cloud Solutions (maintainer)

3. FAQ (/faq) — Currently routes to /working

Write a comprehensive FAQ covering:

  • What is Azure Local (the Microsoft product)?
  • What is Azure Local Cloud (this community site)?
  • Is this official Microsoft content?
  • How is content created and maintained?
  • How can I contribute?
  • Where can I get support?
  • What is the IIC fictional company and why is it used?
  • What is Hybrid Cloud Solutions?
  • Where do I find the implementation scripts? (link to aztoolkit)
  • Can I use this content for my own deployments?
  • What versions of Azure Local does this cover?

4. Links (/links) — Currently routes to /working

Curated link list for Azure Local practitioners:

  • Microsoft Official Docs — Azure Local documentation, release notes, What's New
  • Azure Local GitHub — Microsoft's public GitHub repos
  • Azure Arc — Arc documentation and GitHub
  • Community Resources — blogs, podcasts, YouTube channels covering Azure Local
  • Ecosystem Tools — Windows Admin Center, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Pester
  • Related Repos — links back to all AzureLocal GitHub org repos

5. Resources (/resources) — Currently routes to /working

Higher-level resource landing page:

  • Whitepapers and architecture guides (link to Microsoft)
  • Well-Architected guidance for Azure Local
  • Design documents from this docs site (/design section)
  • aztoolkit — downloadable scripts and automation
  • azurelocal-training — training curriculum and labs
  • Community templates and config file references

Technical Notes

  • The current placeholder pages point to src/pages/working.js
  • Each new page should follow the same Layout wrapper pattern as src/pages/about.js
  • Update docusaurus.config.js navbar entries to point to the new page routes instead of /working
  • Hybrid Cloud Solutions contact details should come from internal standards (docs/standards/examples.md defines HCS as the maintainer LLC)

Acceptance Criteria

  • All 5 pages have real, useful content (no "coming soon" pages remain in the More menu)
  • docusaurus.config.js navbar updated to link each menu item to its new page
  • Contact page correctly references Hybrid Cloud Solutions as the maintainer LLC
  • npm run build passes with onBrokenLinks: 'throw'
  • Site deploys and all 5 pages render correctly

References

  • src/pages/about.js — template pattern for page layout
  • docusaurus.config.js — navbar More dropdown configuration
  • docs/standards/examples.md — defines Hybrid Cloud Solutions as the author/maintainer LLC
