Developed with Unity 6.0 and C#, editor version updated to Unity 6.3.
The project was finished in November 2025 and will no longer be accepting regular updates and fixes.
The general objective of this capstone project is to develop “ATLAS”, a 2D edutainment mobile game designed as a supplementary learning tool for Grade 12 STEM students at STI College Baliuag. This game aims to enhance learning, understanding, and visualization of General Physics 1 concepts through interactive simulations and engaging gameplay mechanics.
Featuring story-driven dialogues, bite-sized lessons, and interactive simulation and controls, ATLAS leverages visual learning to present physics in a more dynamic, intuitive, and innovative way, making complex concepts easier to grasp. By integrating interactive visualizations, this game transforms the learning experience, making physics more fun, engaging, and effective.

Capstone Title
ATLAS: A 2D Edutainment Mobile Game for Learning General Physics 1 for Grade 12 STEM Students of STI College Baliuag
Developed by BSIT-4B Group 4
- Eugenio, Rainiel G.
- Lim, Jae Marie Ann A.
- Sumagay, Maricar
- Tolentino, Dave Laurence C.
Submitted to STI College Baliuag during 1st Semester of S.Y. 2025-2026.
- Main Menu – The starting point of the game, where players access all major features of the game.
- Campaign Mode – The story-driven gameplay experience where players progress through chapters and levels. It covers topics from General Physics 1 in curriculum order.
- Chapters – The main story arcs, where players unlock and complete levels in a sequence. Each chapter may contain 5-8 levels.
- Levels – Individual levels within a chapter, each designed with unique gameplay objectives to teach and assess physics concepts in engaging ways. Each level falls under one of the following types:
- Pre-Test – Introduces the chapter storyline and tests the player's current knowledge of the topic with a short quiz. Each chapter begins with one pre-test.
- Lesson – Bite-sized, interactive lessons that explain physics concepts, followed by a short quiz or problem-solving activity. Each chapter typically contains 1–3 lesson levels.
- Simulation – Complete objectives through interactive physics simulations, experiments, and tool usage to explore and apply physics concepts. There will be 1-2 simulation levels per chapter.
- Challenge – Special tasks requiring players to complete objectives within a time or attempt limit. Challenge levels primarily feature minigames designed to test the player’s understanding and application of physics concepts in a fun and engaging way. Each challenge is structured to reinforce the lessons from previous levels through interactive gameplay rather than quizzes or problem-solving activities. Each chapter includes one challenge level that serves as a culmination of the player’s learning progress.
- Post-Test – A long quiz and math solving test that measures the player's mastery of the chapter’s topics and closes the chapter storyline. Each chapter ends with a post-test.
- Free Play Mode – Allow players to select quiz and solving topics, simulations, or minigames that have been unlocked through campaign mode, enabling gameplay without the storyline. The available game types include:
- Quiz – Answer a variety of question formats, such as multiple choice, true or false, matching, fill in the blanks, sequencing, and categorization. The quiz system also includes problem-solving and computation-based questions, allowing players to read and solve math and equation problems directly within the game using the built-in scientific calculator.
- Simulation – Complete objectives by interactive physics simulations, solving puzzles, navigating objects, testing graphs, or using virtual tools.
- Minigame – Play short, casual games such as 2D platformers, top-down games, racing challenges, or simple interactive activities.
- Library – Revisit, review, and know more about certain physics topics, as well as access some tools.
- Guidebooks – Collection of guidebooks containing summaries and detailed explanations of physics topics, unlocked as you complete lesson levels.
- Glossary – Comprehensive list of physics concepts and terms providing definitions and context about it, unlocked as you encounter in lesson levels.
- Scientific Calculator – Access built-in calculator to perform computations.
- Profile – Manage avatar, account and cloud save, as well as access game progress, achievements, statistics, and records.
- Avatar – Edit game information such as display name, icon, age, gender, as well as select character and primary and secondary colors.
- Account – Allow players to register, login, edit accounts, and manage cloud save data.
- Progress – View your game progress including your campaign progress consisting of completed chapters, levels and obtained medals, and unlocked guidebooks and glossary terms.
- Performance – View records such as pre-test and post-test scores per chapter, and best level scores and times, and statistics such as time spent playing, number of completes and fails, and more.
- Leaderboards – Display player rankings for campaign score and best level scores to see how you compare with other players and challenge yourself to push better.
- Settings – Customize game experience by adjusting master volume, music, UI, and game sound effects.
