An original Codex skill for designing desktop-first editorial websites that combine:
- Renaissance spatial composition and pictorial depth;
- Rococo asymmetry and local ornamental invention;
- tactile torn-paper, cut-paper, print, and collage transitions;
- contemporary web typography and readable long-form content;
- cinematic motion with accessible fallbacks.
The skill is intended for personal archives, artist portfolios, cultural publications, essays, galleries, and other content-led experiences. It explicitly guards against the common failure mode where a spectacular hero collapses into a generic inner page.

Use $renaissance-rococo-web-design to design the entrance-to-article transition for a desktop-first bilingual literary archive. Start with a sourced direction and one preview; do not build the whole site yet.
- real desktop webpage proportions rather than portrait poster mockups;
- a designed path from entrance to collection, detail, reading, and return;
- source-aware composition instead of generic gold-frame luxury;
- clear separation between original artworks and decorative reinterpretations;
- selectable, zoomable, searchable article text;
- reduced motion, deep links, keyboard access, and progressive enhancement;
- honest reporting of what a static preview, specification, or browser test can prove.
