What
Adds a Cohesivity preset to the MCP server presets menu, pointing at
https://cohesivity.ai/mcp.Why
With it, the agent can provision a backend for what it builds, such as Postgres, Redis, object storage or hosting, from one menu entry. The server needs no account or API key, so the preset has no headers or credentials, like the Parallel Search one.
How
One entry appended to
MCPPresets.allinAgent/MCP/MCPPresets.swift, using the existing HTTPMCPServerConfig. Nothing else changes.I tested it against the live server with a script that follows AgentMCP's HTTP client (protocol
2024-11-05,Mcp-Session-Idhandling,notifications/initialized).tools/listreturns six tools (mcp_Cohesivity_create_tenant,mcp_Cohesivity_provision_resourceand others), andcreate_tenantfollowed byprovision_resourceprovisioned a Postgres database.swiftc -parsepasses on the changed file andMCPConfig.swiftwith Swift 6.4.1. I did not run a full Xcode build or try the preset in the app, because this host runs Linux.Checklist
./build.shor Xcode) with no new warnings: not built, see aboveAgentTestspass (and new tests added where it makes sense): not run@Observableview models, async/await)AI assistance: this change and description were prepared with an AI coding assistant. I reviewed and tested them as described above.
Disclosure: I work at Cohesivity, which operates this MCP endpoint.
