If anyone is using iris auto-completion I was having an issue with it's own "init" routine. It basically swallows any command that's being sent to zsh or bash.
Basically, when you open a new session in nebula (doesn't matter what brach/worktree/code tool) it just opens a new terminal, instead of launching claude (in my case). I submitted an issue on their github and perhaps they'll fix it but if not, here's the fix:
In your .zhrc or .bashrc or wherever you init iris:
skip autostart when the shell was given a command:
[ -z "$ZSH_EXECUTION_STRING" ] && [ -z "$BASH_EXECUTION_STRING" ]
