SandBase CLI v0.1.17: verified release for 25 AI client targets

SandBase CLI v0.1.17 is available with a verified release path for connecting coding agents to SandBase's catalog of 2,000+ AI models and APIs.

What changed

• The compatibility catalog now covers 25 client targets, including Codex, Claude Code, Cursor, Gemini CLI, Windsurf, OpenCode, Kiro, Warp, Amp, Hermes, and OpenClaw.
• The packaged SandBase Agent Skill metadata is aligned with v0.1.17.
• The release workflow uses Node 24 and is prepared for tokenless npm trusted publishing.
• Until the npm package catches up, the immutable GitHub release tarball is the canonical installation path.

Ecosystem discovery update

Since the v0.1.17 release, SandBase CLI is now independently discoverable through several MCP, Agent Skill, and AI API catalogs:

The Dosa listing is live in both its public catalog and structured data. A correction request is pending for metadata that still reflects the earlier 17+ client count; the authoritative SandBase catalog currently contains 25 targets.

Awesome AI API Proxy accepted the operator-disclosed submission #54 and currently labels SandBase unverified and operator_submitted, pending independent verification.

The 25-client setup walkthrough is available in English and Chinese.

Additional community-directory submissions are under maintainer review. We will only mark them as listings after they are actually accepted.

The canonical install path remains the immutable v0.1.17 GitHub Release tarball shown above until the npm latest tag catches up.

Ecosystem discovery update — August 27, 2026

New independent discovery surfaces verified since the previous update:

• Hermes Atlas — automated validation passed and the listing was merged under Integrations & Bridges.
• Awesome Hermes Agent — lists SandBase CLI as a beta bridge for Hermes.
• Awesome Gemini CLI — accepted in its development tools and utilities section.
• Awesome AI API Proxy — operator-disclosed listing retained as unverified pending independent verification.
• TensorBlock MCP Index and SkillsCat — live MCP and Agent Skill discovery pages.

The GitHub repository description and topics now explicitly include Hermes, OpenClaw, OpenCode, model routing, and multimodal AI, matching the verified 25-client catalog. npm package discovery metadata has also been updated in PR #41.

The immutable v0.1.17 release asset has 32 downloads. npm latest still serves v0.1.14, so the GitHub Release tarball above remains the canonical v0.1.17 path.

Submissions that are only open or under maintainer review are intentionally not counted as listings.

Official Codex plugin is now available

SandBase now has an official, standalone Codex plugin source:

• sandbaseai/sandbase-codex-plugin
• Bundles a guided Agent Skill with the immutable v0.1.17 local MCP launcher.
• Uses the same six sandbase_* tools and discover → inspect → run workflow documented in this release.
• Passes the required HOL Plugin Scanner CI with no high or critical findings.
• The plugin repository is Apache-2.0 licensed, public, and owned by sandbaseai; it is not a fork.

First-time authentication still uses the verified release command:
