shadlet 0.6.0 is a focused compatibility and developer-experience release. it keeps protocol v2 and does not claim complete parity with the current shadcn/ui catalogue.

what changed

• added ui.Marker for semantic highlights and ui.CodeBlock for copyable, line-numbered plain code.
• corrected as_ serialization for Box, Grid, and Text; added fragment id support to Box and Grid.
• bounded server-side DataTable page sizes to the validated 1–500 range.
• added settings, auth-demo, crud-demo, and responsive landing-page templates, plus a guided set of runnable examples.
• added ten maintained agent skills for building, designing, component and extension authoring, debugging, contributing, reviewing, testing, releasing, and migrating. canonical skills and host mirrors are checked by a repository validator.
• isolated pytest temporary directories per process to avoid shared-directory collisions on windows.

compatibility and scope

• the wire protocol remains version 2. existing 0.5.x apps should remain source-compatible; see the 0.5-to-0.6 migration guide.
• the auth and crud templates are local demonstrations. they do not provide production identity, authorization, or database persistence.
• see the component catalogue and limitations for verified support boundaries.

verification

• local python suite: pytest . -q — 210 passed.
• github ci for the release commit passed: python checks across 3.11–3.14, renderer lint/typecheck/tests/build, browser e2e, packaging and clean-wheel installation, and the documented docker deployment build.
• strict documentation build and agent-skill validation passed.
