Here's a welcome post draft for the AM4 Discussions tab:
Welcome to ArduinoMenu Discussions! 👋
This is the place to ask questions, share what you're building with AM4, propose ideas, and help each other out — issues stay for bugs and concrete feature requests, Discussions is for everything else: "how do I...", "has anyone tried...", showcasing your project, or just talking shop about menu/UI design on embedded targets.
A couple of things worth knowing if you've been following AM4 for a while:
I've been working on a compile-time composition framework called HAPI, and a next-generation menu library (OneMenu) built on top of it, as a from-scratch redesign of the ideas behind AM4 — same problem space, but resolved entirely at compile time instead of runtime. It's still early: the AM4 drop-in compatibility works on some examples, we need feedback, so this isn't a "switch now" announcement. I wanted to let this community know it exists and where it's headed, since you're the people who'll actually use it. If you're curious, poke around, ask questions here, and if you want to get involved — whether that's testing, feedback, or contributing — it's genuinely welcome.
For everyone else: AM4 keeps going as it always has. Nothing changes for existing users today.
Introduce yourself below — what you're building, what hardware you're targeting, how you've been using AM4. Looking forward to hearing from you.
