[Bug]: Model::find() stopped resolving correct type

Bug description

I don't know what else to do:

I did:

1. All steps of File->Repair IDE which reset all my indexes and caches
2. Squashed my migrations
3. Rebooted multiple times

after every action above I would run shift+ctrl+. but after all this:

can you help me debug this issue?

Hi. That's weird. I tested setup with class BaseModel extends Model and class User extends BaseModel and it shows this

It's not correct, and we will try to fix that. But if I make the BaseModel class abstract: abstract class BaseModel everything becomes correct:

My definition of BaseModel is super plain

no traits, nothing!

I don't know, man, it's so messed up, I tried to make it abstract and this is what I got:

And it does not come back!! I invalidated caches again, rebuilt Idea models, started disabling plugins one by one and sometimes the find comes back, but the $user is still BaseModel|I_BaseModel_C, I then try something else and Method find() not found reappears, it's late today, and I have this week off, please tell me if there's any debug info I can provide you with, but I can just hope this goes away on its own until I'm back codeing

I am back to work and asked my team:

is Laravel Idea broken for everyone, can you tell me if

$asdasd = \App\Models\User::find(123); // <-position cursor on $asdasd and press ctrl+q for quick documentation

has the same effect for you? It should say User in the definition, not just BaseModel

and got a resounding "yes it's broken"

Is it possible to share any information with us? helper files in vendor/_laravel_idea? Or the User model class code?

Any minimum reproducible sample?

The problem is in a very big helper file that exceeds the default PhpStorm limit. We will try to reduce them in one of the next updates.

Workaround:

main menu > Help > Edit Custom Properties... Write there:

idea.max.intellisense.filesize=5000

It will increase the limit to 5 Mb. Then, main menu > File > Invalidate Caches.
