Description
Currently, photos from selected albums are not consistently displayed in chronological order. It would be very useful to have an option to sort and play images by their capture date when using album-based playback.
I found this related pull request, which seems to address ordering for Memories only:

Use Case
I use ImmichFrame on a tv and would like to create a slideshow experience for specific trips or events.
Example:
I select an album from a vacation or business trip
When the page/frame reloads, playback should start from the beginning
Photos should then be displayed sequentially in chronological order
This would make it much easier to present a coherent “story” or timeline to colleagues, friends, or family.
