@structurednewstore-rgb thanks for the clear pictures. You're right: the sketch follows each line from point to point, and where three lines meet, the arc stays an open line and is left out. Sharing an edge between two faces would need real face detection in the sketch, and layerling has no selectable profiles either, a sketch is always built as a whole. That is quite a lot of work, and for now I'm putting my time into bug fixes and features that help many people. Two quick ways to get the shape today:

In the attached screenshots, I've drawn a rectangle with a semicircle attached to one side. Both shapes share the same vertical line, but Layerling doesn't appear to recognize the semicircle as a separate closed loop.
Ideally, the software would recognize that a single line can serve as the boundary for two adjacent closed shapes. In this example, it could recognize the rectangle, the semicircle, and the combined outside perimeter as three independently selectable profiles.
I realize this may not be technically feasible within the existing geometry engine, or it might require considerably more development than the benefit would justify. I'm certainly not familiar enough with the underlying architecture to know.
Obviously, there are perfectly reasonable workarounds involving copying, pasting, trimming, and combining shapes, so this isn't a major obstacle or something I'd consider a priority.
I just wanted to point it out because, if it's relatively straightforward to implement, shared geometry recognition would make Sketch Mode a little more intuitive.
