All my designs and folders disappeared in a blink?

Out of nowhere all my designs are gone and folders are empty.

After restoring it's all back, but without snapshot. When I open them one by one to get a new snapshot the same thing happens after a while; all is gone.

@kwjaarsveld-star thank you for the clear report, and sorry for the scare. I found the cause. The start page keeps its list of designs in a small storage of the browser, and each card picture was written into that list. With many designs the list no longer fitted, and in that case layerling took the old list out before writing the new one; when that failed too, the list was gone. That is why your folders are still there but empty, and why opening the designs again to get new pictures brought it back.

The designs themselves were not deleted: their shapes are kept in a different place in the browser. So please don't clear the browser data for layerling.com.

The fix comes with the next release: the card pictures get their own storage, a list that does not fit never removes the old one, and the start page brings back every design whose card was lost. Designs that your backup already brought back come back only once.

@kwjaarsveld-star the fix is out in 1.95.0: https://github.com/henmedia/layerling/releases/tag/v1.95.0 – reload the page. The card pictures no longer fill the browser's storage, and designs the list had lost come back on the start page by themselves. "Back up all" now also takes the card pictures along, so a restore shows them at once.

It's still buggy. I deleted the last six items three times now, backed it up, but when I close and open Chrome (sometimes yiou have to) there back.

@kwjaarsveld-star The fix is out with 1.98.0: the rescue now runs only once, and deleting a design also removes its hidden copies, so deleted designs stay deleted after Chrome restarts.

I think I see what happened: the first start with 1.98.0 ran the rescue one last time, and it brought back the old hidden copies of the designs you had deleted before (that is why they show "Oct 19" and have no picture). Please delete those four once more (Untitled design 45, 40, 37 and Stofzuiger schraper). From 1.98.0 on, deleting a design also removes its hidden copies, and the rescue does not run again, so they should stay gone after you restart Chrome. If any of them comes back anyway, please tell me, then it is a new bug.
