Using The Icon Tag Option With A Jpeg

I would like to see an option to manually move the key ring hole to where you want it as the three options that we have sometimes will not work with the print. I made one of me golden retriever and no matter where I put it it just did not look right. If I had the option to manually move it to where I wanted it that would have been great.

@KBFlyer Thanks for the idea. Right now the key ring hole can only sit on the left, right or top, so you can't place it freely.

Until there is more, you can do it by hand: switch "Key ring hole" off, add a cylinder, make it a hole, move it where you want it on the tag and group it with the tag. The hole is then cut out at exactly that place.

@plazmabokor you built the key ring hole and the icon tag from pictures – if you have an idea how a free position could fit in, you're very welcome to join in here.

@henmedia Thanks for asking me in. Here is how I'd add it, one step at a time as usual:

1. A fourth choice next to Left, Right and Top: Free. The hole and its ear can then be dragged on the tag with the mouse and turned to any angle, so the ear can point wherever the picture needs it, e.g. out from the ear of @KBFlyer's golden retriever. The ear stays part of the bottom layer and the hole still goes through every layer, so nothing has to be grouped. It would work the same on the name tag and the icon tag.
2. Later, if you like it: an Ear thickness setting, starting at the bottom layer's height, so a tag with a thin bottom layer still gets a strong tab.

Would that fit, or would you rather see it differently?

@plazmabokor thank you, that fits well. Step 1 (a fourth choice Free, with the hole and its ear dragged and turned on the tag, for the name tag and the icon tag) is what @KBFlyer needs. Ear thickness can come once step 1 is in. Would you build it as a pull request, as before?

@KBFlyer The free key ring hole is out with 1.98.0. For the name tag and the icon tag, "Key ring hole" now has a fourth choice, Free: a tab with the hole appears beside the tag, you move and turn it into place like any shape, and "Fix to the tag" makes it part of the tag there, with the hole through every layer. Thanks to @plazmabokor, who built it.
