TECHNOBENTO made a good YouTube video today: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WWhFSWFfG9g

Good video!
Also the part about the three "still" missing features in layerling that are available in Tinkercad...
Is it allowed to write "Tinkercad" here .. Just kidding!

[henmedia]

@prmod3d, thank you for the link, and @AkiraNorthstar, thank you too. The video is first in the list above now, and it will be first in the video list in layerling's start page and in the guide with the next release.

Here's a somewhat rambling new YouTube video posted today. The guy tries to be unbiased but comes across more as negative. It mostly covers 5 reasons NOT to use layerling, but also praises some easy-to-use layerling features that put Fusion 360 to shame:

[henmedia]

@prmod3d, thank you for the link. I keep this list for videos that introduce layerling or show how to use it, so I leave this one out. I appreciate that you keep an eye out for new videos.

[prmod3d]

Would you like me to still alert you to these layerling-related videos even if they're not suitable for the list?

[henmedia]

@prmod3d, to be clear about how this list works: you are welcome to post videos here, and everyone can see them in the comments. Only the videos I choose myself go into the list at the top, the guide and the start page of layerling. Thank you for keeping an eye out for them.

[prmod3d]

Understood. I'll continue to post layerling-related videos in this section for all to see as I stumble across them, and you can choose to use them at your own discretion.

The video answered a lot of questions for me layering is not for professionals who make a living using cad it explains a lot of why I have been having the such a hard time trying to adopt the work flow. Coming from using fusion 360, solidworks and other actual cad programs not having a parametric time line is a big deal breaker, unable to change key shortcuts, unable to change navigation style like even free cad offers. How the sketch work mode operates is completely weird to me and I see now that is because its based on tinkercad.

Hey! Just made a video about layerling in Dutch.

It's a first look for Tinkercad users, hollowing, fillets, the hole pattern, threads with clearance, custom fonts and printer profiles. I also printed a bolt with and without clearance to show the difference 😄

Really loving the tool, and the Dutch translation is a huge plus for my viewers. Great work!

@werkplaatsmarc, your video is in the list of videos on the start page and in the guide in 1.84.0, in every language of the guide. Reload the page to get it; the installed app needs a restart.

[werkplaatsmarc]

Awesome, thanks a lot! Already got some nice reactions from Dutch viewers. Looking forward to what's next 🙌

[AkiraNorthstar]

I watched your video and I have to say: It's super!
Although I don't speak/know Dutch, I could understand everything that was shown! Thank you!

[werkplaatsmarc]

Thanks a lot, that really means a lot! 😄 Tip, YouTube also has an auto-dubbed English audio track on the video, you can pick it in the settings under Audio track. A sketch tutorial is coming this Friday!

[AkiraNorthstar]

Thanks for the tip. I like to listen to other languages, then my old brain is forced to concentrate and memorise more... I hope! 😉

[henmedia]

@makinglayerschannel thank you for the update, and for all the videos. Your playlist is already in the list above and on the start page.
