Hello everyone. Hope you are doing well. I've done a lot of things with GitHub, mostly private repos on projects I've been working on over time, use it as a learning resource and a way to save interesting repos I come across. And a way to connect with others, just like this. Hope to see you guys around on seriousdb. Take care. |

Hey all! I mostly write Python and C, and been meaning to get properly into open source for a while - seriousdb's a great size to start with. Been picking off a few issues so far, looking forward to seeing where the project goes. |
IntroductionI'm from Germany, doing a lot of different things, from simple scripting to more complex C code and even Assembly. I particularly like x86 Assembly, typically using NASM, partly due to my interest in the Linux kernel (Linux syscalls > Windows Kernel API). I really like Open Source, and most of the software I use is Open Source as well. I particularly like the BSD and MIT licenses. GPL is okay, but it's not really my favorite because I prefer the freedom that permissive licenses provide. Overall, I believe Open Source is better than closed source. I also think documentation is really important to a project - sometimes even more important than well-written code. Good documentation makes it faster to search for features and, in turn, find and understand the well-written code behind them. I like fast software, but don't get me wrong: fast software isn't always about runtime performance. It's also about programming time. Python is great for one of those, as we all know. XD Yeah, that's basically my "philosophy." I hope this project will grow and become a real alternative to classic database systems, maybe at some point even being used by great companies or institutions. In case I don't see ya: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight. Cheers :) PS: FreeBSD is also great, i do not only like Linux. |

Hey yall, I'm from the UK, currently in my final year of university, and I have really ramped up on open source contributions and I believe this project will become great if as a community we care about it and treat it well. I like programming in Go, Python, Typescript, Those are the main programming languages I deal with and I hope to be able to have a good impact on the project, I will use it as a way to learn from all of you and also a way for me to contribute to something meaningful. See you all around :) |
Hey everyone!I'm from Poland and currently in my final year of high school. I mainly code in C++, Rust, Python, C, and JavaScript, with Vue.js on the frontend and Express.js on the backend. I’ve been looking for open-source projects where I could contribute, and this repo seems like an excellent fit — I’ve actually just submitted my first PR here fixing a security issue! Glad to be here and looking forward to contributing more! |

hello guys! |
👋 HeyHi, I'm from Spain. I'm currently studying for an advanced degree in web applications and AI, roughly equivalent to upper secondary education in other countries. I usually program in C++, Python, and Next.js (TypeScript), though lately I've been focusing on learning Unreal Engine 5, combining my C++ knowledge with what I'm learning about Blueprints. I think this repository is a great place to start contributing. |
Hey allI am from Sweden. I'm fresh out of uni and have recently started working my very first job, as a full stack developer. I have my own side projects, that are hosted on codeberg, where I mainly write in golang and rust. I'm most intrigued by the backend of things and working on business code and APIs. I really enjoy OpenSource software and have for a long time been looking for a nice project that I would be able to genuinely contribute some value to. I have also been following Daniel's journey for a little over a year now. So safe to say, I was rather excited when I saw the last video. I clicked off pretty quickly(es tut mir leid Daniel, aber ich habe jetzt die ganze Video gesehen :) ) and hopped onto GitHub to see what I could help with. I am looking forward to see where this project will be going, I'll be here for the ride! |

Hi everyone! I’ve been looking for open-source projects where I could contribute from the initial moments and luckily at the perfect time this project was opened by someone i have been watching for a year. I am new and i am not that much informed at many things so please guide me as I am really willing to learn as much as possible from this project. I am also working on a final year project of mine which is a "Real - Time Data Analytics Dashboard", and this 'SeriousDB (SDB)' project would be a great learning resource for me !!. Hopefully all of you be a little kind to me if i were to make any mistakes and guide me through it. Cheers !! ✌🏻 |

Hello everyone! A current project of mine is a Linux distro with a custom package manager and init system. I hope I can deliver some helpful contributions to this project! |

Hey @ALL, |

Hi there! Greetings from Germany :) I'm Dome, with 4+ years of web dev experience (React, Django) and currently focusing on cybersecurity certifications. Let me know if you'd find that helpful and how you'd prefer to be contacted about security findings! |

Hey everyone! 👋 I’m Mark, a full-stack developer from the Netherlands, currently working at one of the country’s largest e-commerce retailers. I work across frontend and backend with technologies like TypeScript, React and C#. I enjoy building things that work well and feel good to use, and I’m always curious about how things work under the hood. Looking forward to contributing where I can, learning from others, and seeing how it develops! Outside of coding, I’m usually mountain biking, gaming, listening to music or exploring somewhere new. Nice to meet you all :) |

Hi all! I started to learn programming in Python, and now at work I mostly use C# and Typescript + React. In my spare time I also have some smaller C projects, such as a CHIP-8 emulator. Besides, I enjoy bouldering and boxing, and I also love to read9 a good book (currently Murakami's Norwegian Wood)! Looking forward to working with you all! |

Hi everyone! I'm Varun, a student interested in Python, backend development, Linux, and open source. I recently discovered SeriousDB and would love to contribute. I've forked and cloned the project, set it up with uv, and got it running locally. I'm currently exploring the codebase and documentation. Could someone point me toward a good place for a new contributor to start, or any beginner-friendly issues I could work on? Looking forward to learning and contributing! 🚀 Thanks, |
