The evaluation now also extracts the placement country and EU/EEA eligibility (eu / non_eu / unknown; location does not affect the CV score). A 'non_eu' placement forces status=rejected regardless of score, with a location-based rejection email. 'unknown' (a plain CV with no stated placement) never blocks. Also fixes the LangGraph CandidateState, which dropped the new fields before they reached the decision. Adds gate regression tests (hermetic, LLM-free). --- backend/app/agents/cv_agent.py | 18 ++++++++ backend/app/agents/workflow.py | 2 + backend/app/services/application_service.py | 32 +++++++++++-- backend/tests/test_api.py | 51 +++++++++++++++++++++ 4 files changed, 100 insertions(+), 3 deletions(-) diff --git a/backend/app/agents/cv_agent.py b/backend/app/agents/cv_agent.py index 59f4872..615f3a1 100644 --- a/backend/app/agents/cv_agent.py +++ b/backend/app/agents/cv_agent.py @@ -35,6 +35,12 @@ "analysis": {"type": "string", "description": "2-4 sentence summary."}, "recommended_role": {"type": "string", "enum": ROLE_CATALOG}, "rationale": {"type": "string", "description": "Why this role fits."}, + "internship_country": {"type": "string", "description": "Country of the stated internship/placement location, if any.
