Thanks for creating this opensuse image. I've been wanting one.

What is the root password for this image ?

You should also include dbus package in this base image. Because without dbus, machinectl cannot login into the container.

@rickysarraf i've tagged a new release that includes the dbus packages (thanks for catching that).
not sure what you mean by password, can you show me what prompt you get?
the only password that you need, is theoretically your own sudo password.

I forcefully changed the root password by executing a shell through systemd-nspawn.

But I'm surprised that you had this image working for you. Here are the list of things I found:

• dbus was missing (which you've fixed now)
• No user/password mentioned. Nor root creds mentioned. How are you logging into the container
• No network setup. It'd be nice if the base container image had networking service (systemd-networkd preferably) with dhcp client configured.
• root login issues need pseudo terminals covered in securetty. Maybe you never encountered this problem because you didn't have the need to login as root.
