📅 Weekly Retro — Week of 2026-05-29

🤝 Collaboration & Communication

• Pairing: Marcus and Priya are coordinating well on the real-time updates and the fanout worker.
• Handoff: Smooth handoff between Marcus and David over the query endpoints.
• Decisions: Major technical decisions were made during standups — e.g., choice of WebSockets over SSE.
• Communication: Effective async and sync communication, with decisions made swiftly.

🚧 What's Getting in the Way

• Dependencies: Blockers like role schema from infra and decision on notification settings location.
• Tooling Issues: Some issues with Kafka in staging impacting reliability testing.

🌡️ Team Energy

• Positive Momentum: Despite blockers, the team maintains good momentum on deliverables.
• Concerns: Noise in the intake queue suggests minor process friction.

🔄 Process Health

• Task Allocation: Decision to rotate triage duty addresses intake queue noise.
• Process Adaptation: Moving design reviews from Wednesday to Thursday to accommodate preps.

🤖 Automation Health

• Existing Workflows: No major complaints; workflows are functioning as expected.
• Potential Gaps: Manual triage process identified, to be monitored post-rotation.

🗓️ Ritual Cadence

• Standup: ✅ on track - all required standups logged.
• Emerging: Rotational triage duty starting next sprint.

💡 Observations & Suggestions

• Cross-team dependencies managed well — could be formalized into a best practice.
• Consider setting up alerts for infrastructure components earlier.
